Have. Lost. Motivation.

I have lost 13 lbs. since early January. Was doing so good; recording everything I ate and exercising 4-6 times a week. Then about two weeks ago I ran out of steam.

Any suggestions for getting past a slump?Crying or Very sad

Try changing up what you were doing to find something you enjoy.
I have never been able to run much. I want to run a marathon.

You have to push yourself through that. Everybody gets to that point. All you have to do is force yourself to keep going. The motivation will come back. If you just keep going, you'll find more motivation as you see more results Smile
Sometimes you need to just use that willpower. Think of all the reasons you want to lose the weight.
Changing it up is a great suggestion too!

Switch it up a bit and keep going.

Invite your friends to show you what THEY like to do for exercise. Arrange a private "exercise" session with your honey if that's your thing. Whatever it takes.

All good suggestions... dig for that "stick-to-it" attitude. And if you're a person of faith, call on your faith! I'm a Christian and I pray daily for strength to overcome my compulsive overeating. It really helps me to know that God is bigger than my weight problem and He hears my prayers. Another things that helps to keep me focused is really investing some time into diet-fitness related materials, whether that is reading fitness magazines, websites, success stories/books, watching fitness related television programs, etc. It all just "keeps your head in the game". Good luck.. I know you can get that fire re-lit!

One thing I think helps is having someone who can acknowledge the changes you are undergoing. It is great to see yourself getting smaller or your clothes getting baggier. It is great to see your ticker moving steadily towards your goal weight.

But for me the best of all is when someone "wow you have lost weight, how much?" I realise that I am lucky - since starting my diet my sister has joined me and mum from school. It helps me knowing that I have someone to be accountable to and gain support from.

Is there someone you can talk too? I am not saying it should be the topic of all conversations but you are doing a really good thing - improving your health and this has so many benefits. It is something worth sharing!

Sometimes people don`t want to say anything even if they notice because they think it is personal/private open the conversation and see the response! It could be just the motivation you need to keep going Smile

Muscle weighs 4 pounds as much as fat, you should use measurements as fat takes up four times as much room so you could’ve lost a whole pile of inches and we getting a lot smaller, Please measure yourself ...
