When do get up? When do you go to bed? Breakfast dose not have to be in the morning it is just the first meal of the day and if you hours are differnt than most adjust your eating to work with when you are up and needing the energy.

My Dad worked the night shift for 32 years. His tip was to eat breakfast when you wake up (for him, about 2pm), lunch about five hours after (so 7pm) but to make this your largest meal of the day, then a light meal during your break at work at about 1 - 2 am. He also said he almost always wanted a last snack around 5am as his blood sugar got really low and made him sleepy. It worked for him - he would always take two - three days to adjust back to a normal eating schedule when coming off nights, and he ate less during his adjustment days to make sure he didn't screw up his system too much. He also swore by exercise (and cycled 9 miles to and from work each shift). Hope this helps.

I only work midnights thursday(1a-8a), friday(8p-8a), saturday(8p-8a), and sunday(12a-8a) and have been for like 5 years. What I have found best is too eat with an hour or two of waking up. Then from there I eat every 3-5 hours depending on how busy we are. So about 7 pm, 11pm, and then i eat my biggest meal at about 3-4am. This way it lasts till i go to bed about 9 or 10 am. I usually do not eat breakfast unless I am planning on staying up til noon. Plus make sure you drink your water Smile When I'm at work that's when i drink most of my days worth of water.
This July I'll make it to THE summit, not the false summit of 2009.
