You can't target fat only reduce it over your entire body. Do that and eventually the belly fat will also be gone.
Consume whatever foods you prefer, whenever you prefer to consume them, while ensuring nutrient sufficiency and meeting caloric goals.

I too want the belly fat gone that appears to be the biggest problem area. However, I'm losing everywhere else. sigh... lots of abdominals again.

I too am carrying around two spare tires. It's worse when I sit down. It started from carrying two large babies, one 8 lbs. 6 oz. and the second 9 lbs. 2 oz. Now I weigh more than I did when I was pregnant and my babies are in their late 30's.
I have lost 25 lbs. this year and my measurements are coming down. The solution to the problem is diet and exercise. We can do it.

may ask if you do sit-ups on a regular basis, how long will you see the result in your abdomen?

I do standing ab crunches every day, plus I keep a calorie deficit of negative 500 calories a day and after losing 30+ lbs, starting to see some definition in the stomach. Still have a long way to go (another 20 lbs) and I'm only a 1/2 pint pack but it is working. BTW I'm 68 years old. So, at any age, you CAN DO IT.

Yep you can't target fat loss. Where your body stores it first is the last to come off. When I loose weight I first loose on my arms, legs and fingers. It's really annoying. The last place it comes off is my gut so I have to really get down to notice much there. You can strengthen your core so when you do loose it you have some definition

Sleeping on time and long enough is also one of the main factors to stay healthy. I used to have trouble sleeping, but these melatonin supplements, and they've helped a lot.

Yes, the gut IS the last thing to go. Hoping the last 13 pounds comes from there! I've gone from a full sized radial to a deflated inner-tube. LOL

I'm 66 and look 6 months pregnant!!and hate it.
I'm 62.2 kilo in my undies.
2 years ago I was 55 kilo.
My weight gain started on my stomach then my skinny legs started to gain weight as well as my bottom, underarms etc...
Stomach first and last to go I reckon.
Thanks for all the above posts - good reading.
As from a week ago,I'm trying to stay around 500 calories deficit a day and even when I've got 500 up my sleeve for the day I've stopped sweet things which I'm starting to feel it's helping reduce inflammation.
Now that Covid lock down in NSW is easing I will start the gym again.
I've underlying concern I've a fatty liver because I used to be a heavy drinker (stopped altogether 11 months ago) BUT liver function blood tests are good along with cholesterol.
