I got stuck and turned to junk back on track now but looking for simple foods

I am a 48-year-old woman that is trying to get in shape. I have currently lost 37 pounds but I am stuck. When I got stuck I gave up on myself again and started eating junk! I am back on track again but however, I always feel myself thinking about food. I am not an overeater I am an under eater so this is new for me. Before I started this I used to only eat once a day a big meal but drank loads of sugar drinks and coffee. Now I only drink black coffee no sugar drinks and loads of water or Gatorade zero. I don't mind my vegetables at all but prefer to have fruit for a snack as it has that sugar rush I miss from my drinks. I am not a great cooker so I really don't cook much I like simple easy things to make. Any suggestions. Oh winter in Canada I miss my bike.

Congrats on returning. Yeah, I was exactly the same eating habit for most of my life, eating mostly mid-day. What helped me is leftovers... as in taking one serving then putting the rest away for the next day. Fruit is good, especially as a substitute for processed foods (loads of sugar/salt). I also try to force myself to eat 3 small meals, plus snacks, so I'm always full. I didn't like oatmeal, fruit, and not a fan of salads, but now that's a big part of my diet... once I learned how to prepare them. I also log everything I eat.

Diet always make me obsessed with food. Not sure how to get around that.

Thank you for your feedback I just find I am so odd before I only ate once a day but I never lost weight and because I used to drink so many coffees filled with cream and sugar and soda I packed on the pounds. Now that I drink my coffee black and only drink water or the odd Gatorade zero I feel hungry or at least I think about food way too much all the time and I am eating. Seems sometimes like a losing battle. have any of you tried sleep guided meditation to help lose weight. I meditate just to clear my mind and that helps I am just not sure about the sleep for losing weight.

Get that blender out and make some protein shakes, protein puddings, easy salad dressing, fast soups.. Your work is almost done

Fantastically well done for 37lbs!You've done that much, you can do the rest.
Winter drags us all down - even when we don't get the deep winters you get in Canada. I swear that I gain 'hibernation' weight whatever I do. Keep going, you'll be back on your bike before you know it, we're almost at the end of January and a couple of months will soon pass.

I agree with you. I am undereater. I eat one meal a day and somedays that is even hard for me. My goal is to get that in. I also have lost weight but now I am at a stand still. Following your post to get past this. I am also in the group of not a cooker.
