downward spiral

I have been in a downward spiral since October. Eating too much, eating much junk, no motivation to exercise and watching the pounds add up. I don't know if it is the winter blahs or what but I am really disappointed in myself.

Hey I know what you mean about those winter blahs. I grew up and lived in Los Angeles my entire life until last year when I moved to Michigan so I’m experiencing a real winter for the first time. I long for the outdoors and sunshine lol! I hope you can find your motivation again. Sometimes admitting the problem and being accountable to others is enough to get it back. Starting can be the hardest part. I think you can do it though! Let me know how it goes and God bless you!

It's so hard to stay on track! You are not alone by any means. I find that even if I eat the wrong things I track them. It helps me to stop the spiral. I also try "mindful" eating to get back on track. I try to tell myself to wait 10 min before I eat something bad and if I still want it I portion it out and eat it. Another trick is ask yourself am I hungry enough that I would eat a can of green beans. If the answer is yes you are really hungry and not just eating for the wrong reason! Don't beat yourself up. We all go through rough times.

don't get disappointed if you feel happy for those moments...each day is a brand new day, no worries.
