I'm 58 male, married, looking for someone to communicate daily/weekly, no commitment to amount of chat, just someone to compare notes, recipes, success, failures, etc. "Not a friend collector" not trying to offend anyone, but just left another site that really wasn't too helpful, more like a social media me me me for people wanting to lose weight supposedly.

This is my last first diet...been trying to lose weight unsuccessfully for my entire life, currently using an intermittent fasting program on my phone (zero) and starting to actually see good results in the past 2 weeks of having started it combine with watching calories.

Not sure if I would qualify, but I have a restricted calorie diet, starting intermittent fasting and currently motivated to figure out what works for me and what doesn't. 62 year old female, in a stable relationship and kids are grown and moved out. I weigh in on Wednesdays if you want that to be our check in day.
Every day is a new day.

I weigh daily, but look for weekly progress, keeps me on track. The thing with daily weigh ins are not too judge ups and downs but they do make you accountable if you binge or just eat something you know didn't want to previously.
We can do a weekly(Wed) weight loss comparison, if you have a recipe you liked during the week etc, once a week comparison would be fine.
Thanks for responding.

ok, went up a lb, at 309, 2wks ago I was dropping a lb a day almost at 1200cal a day, low carbs and intermittent fasting, slightly stalled and may gain a couple as adding more carnivore and less plant based in my diet, but not eating as much as they say you can. I'm sorry, I don't believe any diet works saying eat as much as one item as you want, unless there is a calorie deficit, doing this, most people can't lose weight, myself included. When people ask...are you an expert? I pause and say..YES, I've been dieting most of my life, and I know what works for me and doesn't, as do most of us in this and every other forum on a diet, we have life experience.
Sorry for the rant lol. Getting back on my intermittent fasting regiment, 18-6 starting at around 5pm till 9am-no food, water or black coffee only. 1 day a week, and this prevents me from stalling, I do a 36hr fast from Mon 5pm til wed 9am. sometimes called the monk fast. Fasting alone doesn't lose weight, but it does cause accountability to yourself, but need to write everything down you eat, journal paper etc and CALORIE DEFICIT, mine is 1200 cals plus or minus 50-100 cal, make it easy on yourself no matter what calorie count you tend to stick to.
And any program or whatever that tells me I need to eat 2500 to 3500 calories a day and will lose weight...I call BULLSHIT!! my body does not burn that much a day, I gain weight regularly if I eat above 1500 a day, you know your own body, only you can BS yourself. Sorry, guess I wasn't done ranting lol lol.
Good luck everyone, be mindful this holiday, try not to indulge too much and enjoy! I'll be back Sat am for a holiday return weigh in to see how I did.
