I have been using MFP for a few years but it's reliability has been off for a while now and FS has been recommended as the best alternative.
I'm having a bit of a problem with linking it to Apple Health, I can turn the setting "on" which allows FS to write data to Apple Health but I can't see anywhere/anyway to get it read data on steps/exercises... am i missing something really obvious or can't it be done?
Thanks in anticipation! Smile

I would like to know as well. I just updated my iPhone to iOS 10 and was checking out the new health app, and saw that Fat Secret was in their list, and in Fat Secret, the option to sync with Health is turned on, but no data in Health. Would love to get an answer to this question as well.

I would add my vote for this request too. This is a very useful feature in MyFitnessPal and totally missed in FatSecret. FatSecret should _read_ the data from Apple Health at least about the weigh and activity.

My steps show from the Health app in this app. Under settings I have health app chosen under Exercise Tracking and Apps and Devices and also Health app under data sharing. Works well.

I have already turned on apple health on FS but I don't see my information from AH updating to FS, such as the steps the calories.

Hey guys, i totally agree. Most of my personal information i keep synchronized with apple health and also i do with the weight that's coming from my BT connected personal scale. We can be sure that connectivity in IoT is more and more connecting things and weight is one of the central points for this app. Why not allowing the app to READ already existing weight data from apple health app !!!!!
To me this is a must have
