I see that people are doing daily weights. I always thought it was best to weigh once a week, same day-same time-same clothes or nude if possible. I know my own weight will fluctuate every day and that would drive me crazy!

I find weighing everyday - all things being equal - the most motivation for me.

So what's the problem? Just weigh whenever you feel like it.

Sometimes I weigh "every day", sometimes I weigh 7,8,9,10 days apart.

I weigh every day, but take the average over a week to see how much my weight changes long-term. This way, day-to-day fluctuations are smoothed out.

Imagine if you wait a week and have extra sodium, carbs, heavier food, or it's that time of the month and you weigh more anyway. Who cares about daily fluctuations. When you know that pounds of fat are not gained or lost in 24 hours, you tend to not freak out about daily fluctuations.
Consume whatever foods you prefer, whenever you prefer to consume them, while ensuring nutrient sufficiency and meeting caloric goals.

I do not weight every day, if I weight today, I will rest tomorrow, so on ...

I weigh everyday. It bounces up and down but then finally settles. That becomes the new actual weight loss that I work from. My goals are always in the 1 lb range for a solid loss, which I make note of and then move on. I don't record daily weight however, because the chart looks silly. I only record the solid loss. This keeps me sane.

I do regularly. As much as daily but I don't really worry if I skip. I just watch for the trend up or down depending on my goal at the time.

Weighing daily helps me as I gain from water weight from consuming to much salt. This helps me determined which foods are to salty and how I can cut back or eliminate that food.

Water Retention
So I definitely retain water. I try and drink a ton - like over the recommended 64 ounces a day. Should I drink more water or cut back? Recommendations for water retention issue?

Too much food.
I am having trouble with portion control. Eating healthy foods jut too much. I am going to spend the extra $$ and buy individually packaged food. I hope that will motivate me to just eat 1 portion.
