muscle gain

I have gained 4lbs in the last two weeks. I have not changed my eating but I have started walking between 2-5 miles each day. Will muscle build that fast from just walking? I cannot figure out where this weight gain is coming from.

If you really haven't changed your eating, it might be part water weight as well. 4 lb of muscle in two weeks is nigh impossible, even with strenuous training.

No, you did not put on 4lbs of muscle in two weeks from simply walking. You'd probably have to be on steroids and going really hard at the gym *and* be eating a crapton to see 4lbs of muscle development in two weeks. That would also be accompanied by fat gain as well. That's assuming everything is perfect.

Honestly on any given day your body might fluctuate plus or minus 5 pounds to to fluid and food product intake and expulsion. I wouldn't worry about it. Track week to week and try to measure at the same time on the same day you do. It'll give you a better idea of the general trend.

The two that I've tried that have been good are ON Gold Standard Whey and multiple flavors by MyProtein. They have really awesome flavors that taste great!
