I've done significant amounts of fasting, but I admit it's really hard if you've been so used to having 3-4 meals and snacks daily. The 16:8 (16 hours fasting, 8 hours meal time) could be hard for beginners, but you can modify it to 12 hours fast, or skipping a regular meal a day/week.

We tend to get hunger signals because we are used to eat at a certain time but after awhile the body adjusts to our new schedule.

I've changed to IF since the 17th March and I find it great. At first it was hard but your body adapts. The trick is perseverance and not to push yourself before you're ready. When I first started I couldn't contemplate the 20:4 but now I do them 3-5 times a week. I do 18:6 the other two days.
I've lost 19lbs and 5.5inches.
