Veggies while doing keto

I am currently in ketosis.
I just planned my lunch - including eggs, goat's cheese and broccoli.
But then I realised, that the amount of broccoli I was about to consum roughly has 15 grams of carbs! Is that going to throw me out of ketosis? And if yes, is that a bad thing or am I gonna be back in ketosis by tomorrow? Confused

If you are young, do not have any issues with insulin resistance/diabetes and are trying to lose just a few pounds, there is no need for you to be on keto. It became yet another poular diet over the last few years. It has its place, but that does not mean that everybody has to follow it. You can easily lose weight by just creating a small calory deficit and if you are so anti carb by limiting them to less than 100 grams and making sure you choose healthy carbs and not sugar. Broccoli is not the enemy. You are significantly limiting your food choices and might end up yo-yo dieting. You should find a way to eat healthy and without regaining for the rest of your life.

Please don't worry though, I've been researching and reading books and studies for years - at least about low carb. Only the ketosis is quite "new" to me, that's why I've wondered how much it takes to kick you out of the state of ketosis.
I'm not doing this for weightloss (though the weightloss may be a nice side effect), but for increased mental and physical perfomance. Furthermore I researched the effect of carbohydrates on encouraging certain diseases like e.g. cancer and diabetes.
I am in no way restricting myself, I ate that broccoli nonetheless - I was just curious. Moreover, I am eating more salad, veggies and freshly cooked food than I ever did before plus not restricting myself - I feel wonderful!

In that case you need to see how much carbs you can eat. Don't be afraid to experiment, the worst thing that can happen you will be out of ketosis for a day. It is very individual and depends on how much exercise you had on a particular day. Again if you are young and active you can eat more. Beware of hidden sugar and sugar alcohols in store made food. I was OK eating some vegetables but would get out of ketosis when eating anything like roasted chicken or turkey breast from the store.

I did some research and found out, that it's not as bad as soon as you already are in ketosis, because you already have a lot of the enzymes needed for keto. So even if you have to many carbs in a single meal, this might stop the fat burning, but won't diminish all your progress!
