I weigh my self once a week or every 2 weeks, what ever I feel like. But up until 4 yrs. ago, I was so tied up in numbers. I use to weight & measure myself once per week since I graduated from High School. Graduated in 1974. I could tell you how much I weighed @ any given week of any given year. Now that I'm in my 60's, I've realized that's all about how you feel.

Once a week, every Monday after my morning coffee, and after my morning workout, but before my routine breakfast. This does two things, (1) if I'm leaning heavy that week and I weigh myself a day or few early it consumes me. (2) If I'm leaning lean I may be tempted to eat more in a reward sense and then lose all I worked for the few days work prior. I like looking at it once, adjust sails, and move on.

I only weigh myself if I see a scale somewhere. I had a scale that worked but it was broken when I found it (Koreans throw away a lot of things that still work - I had a TV that worked for another 8 years after they threw it out). The scale battery compartment broke and I just threw it out. Now I have no scale and the 'gym' I go to is outdoors and doesn't have a scale. It is a free gym where no one pays anything (the city built it but I don't understand the upkeep, etc.)

Dolly, I used to not allow myself to weigh every day when I first began because I knew from my past as a bulimic how damaging that is to my mental state. I did it every two weeks. I knew if I followed my diet carefully counting calories and got in my water and exercise although it is very moderate most days due to my Multiple Sclerosis that in two weeks there would be some sort of decrease. I will not allow the scales to rule me. My clothes are really my scales as they are already becoming loser. Don't let the scales rule your dieting efforts. I know you said motivation was something you need in the other post but scales can be quite the opposite effect in my opinion because if you are fluctuating and you see that only a daily basis, it can be discouraging. Maybe you could set a different time frame of weighing and solely focus on diet and exercise. Stop worrying about the number. Worry about "Am I feeling healthier day by day as I do what I need to do to get that way?" Good luck and I am here if you need some support. We can do this. As my name says, I am in it to win it!

I was weighing once a week. Since I started doing the daily accountability I have started weighing every day I am at work. I don't like to change scales. It has been interesting to see how my weight fluctuates from day to day when I have not changed a thing. It kinda bobbles up and down but over all is still gradually going down.

Just do what works for you.
Best wishes!!!

Once a week. I started my calorie count 3 months ago and have not had over 1400 calories a day. Yes I have hunger sometimes but losing 2 lbs a week has been worth it.

Every day - since 11/10/17. It helps me see how what I'm eating the previous day affects the weight.

Every day before I get a shower or first thing in the morning. If I have light clothing on, I subtract one pound.

Every morning, and once a week with my trainer. Today was my weigh in with her - in the morning I weighed 153, but with her I was at 156 (but we decided on 153 since it was all from the water I drank)
