Daily first thing on empty bladder but also have weekly accountability weigh in at Wednesday 8:00 TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meeting at Orange Senior Center a few miles from me. Weigh in is from 8-9. Meeting from 9 to 10. We have two weekly members who have achieved KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) status. Anyone can join for $32 a year and our chapter is $3 a month. They are very encouraging with contests from time to time. If you have a gain or a loss, weight recorder reads your name and member can share amount of gain or loss if he or she chooses too. So all is positive. This week I had the most net lost and won quarters members can donate if they had a gain for the week.

I am just getting started and plan on a weekly weigh in, but knowing my curiosity level, it will most likely end up being daily. Can't let that brand new digital scale just collect dust. LOL

I weigh every day, first thing in the morning. I know there will be fluctuations, but I seem to be stupid about it sometimes....several good days of loss, like this past week, and it's too easy to tell yourself you can have *this* or *that* when you shouldn't. It keeps me totally accountable, and the more days I see drops the more I want them!

I have taken to weighing daily, first thing after the morning pit stop. When I stopped weighing myself, the weight crept back up. I know that there will be fluctuations, but I can get a feel to how my body behaves over the month. Once I get to goal weight it will allow me to figure out what my maintenance intake should be, and by putting a +/- 5 lb buffer it will provide a signal to change what I'm doing.

I weigh myself daily, and it does fluctuate. At the end of the week I average all the weights to come up with a weight for the week.

Every day. I know they say not to but the way my weight bounces up and down if I only weighed once a week then I would never see a loss. Also if i don't monitor my weight closely it can creep up real fast. Did that last year didn't weigh my self for 2 months and when I got on the scales I had gained 15 lbs

Weekly. I do the Keto way of eating and it is amazing how well it works. I started at 237lbs 9 days ago. I am down 11 lbs and 3 ". Mostly water I'm sure, but this works. I have seen it with my sister. Over 80lbs gone in less than a year. I eat most of my calores (1360) in the morning at breakfast. Through the day I have my fats and proteins plus no more than 20 carbs. I am loving life.Smile

Your post has inspired me to keep trying. I started the Keto about two and a half weeks ago and I am only down 4 lbs. I am working so hard at keeping my carbs below 20g. I started the gym and have been doing a mile on the treadmill two sometimes three times a week. I am using stevia and coconut creamer for my coffee and coconut oil, ghee and olive oil for cooking. I also use almond flour in small amounts for some of the keto recipes out there. I feel wonderful but why is my weight loss so slow? Don't want to get frustrated.

Only? Elee124065, that's wonderful. Every body is different. You may be like me where the loss will go in fits and starts. Truly, it's a journey figuring out what works for you. Keep it up.
