SheaDlady please let me know how that goes. I was going to look into that once I was closer to my goal of 180 because I am sure I will need it coming from 412lbs. Please do keep us updated on that.

How is everyone else doing? I need to create a group or something because we all need the support. Losing over 100 plus pounds of weight is no joke and hard work, and it helps to have people like you all going through the same thing with me/us. Because we understand each other and how difficult it really is to do this. Difficult, not impossible.

It is very hard, but you can do it! I've lost over 100 lbs. and hit a wall. Then I started using Naturade Total soy meal replacement. It's good. The directions call for 2 scoops per shake, but since I divide my meals into 5 - 6 small meals a day, for breakfast (6am & 9am) I use only one scoop per 8 oz water with a tsp of evaporated milk. That is very filling to me and only has 140 calories total! Best though is lunch, when I use 2 scoops, 1c ice, 8oz. water and 1 tsp condensed milk. Very satisfying chocolate (or vanilla) shake. I have another 1 scooper for 3pm and 9pm, with a salad and protien for 6pm. It's working!

It is very difficult, and very overwhelming! The mind sometimes does not know what to do first! We need to care enough to move enough, and try to eat as best that we can! Anything is a start! To stay dedicated is another thing! Baby steps, I suppose! The treadmill is my biggest challenge so far! Dedication, and a lot of hard work! Your so right about it! Your doing great! So proud of you! I think I need to get more protein in myself! The right kind! I get tired of the same stuff. A vegetarian menu can be very challenging at times, especially with other family members eating differently! We can do this! This shake sounds real good! With protein for Super. The most challenging meal of the day! Good luck to all!

I'm battling my ass off to stay motivated.... I look at the pics on FS of before and after but somehow when i get home i just seem to totally go batshit crazy with anything and mayo... Anyone have any tips that might work? I keep rewarding myself which mucks up my progress and I just can't seem to stay away from snacking!!!! Especially at night... I'm a hectically emotional eater, and when something bugs me i eat... And i get moody a lot...

I'm also having a hard time getting motivated to work out. Keep your eye on the goal. If you find that you crave mayo, try using the fat free mayo (it isn't terribly high in carbs) and avoid eating bread with it. Instead, maybe use a lettuce leaf to wrap up whatever protein you are consuming. You must learn to use non-food rewards. For instance, get a manicure, pedicure, hairstyle or new scarf/wardrobe as a reward. Giving yourself food as a reward is never a good idea. You aren't a dog. So don't reward yourself with a treat. One of the biggest tricks I use to avoid snacking is making myself drink one half of my body weight in ounces of water. For instance, If you weigh 300 pounds, you drink 150 ounces of water every day. I find doing that makes me focus on trying to get in so much water that I don't have time or room to eat snacks. For emotional eating, I now journal my feelings. I read other journals too to keep me centered as well (offer encouragement and gain inspiration). None of us are perfect. That's why we are here. It takes time and you are going to have slip-ups, but you can do this.

I'm in! I hit close to 400 pounds last May. I've been up and down for the last 3 years. I am currently at 382. I never hit the 400 mark. I am morbidly obese though. I will encourage you, and would appreciate encouragement from you. Feel free to send me a buddy request.

Motivation to exercise isnt my issue..... its not giving in to my food hunger at 137 in the morning
Why do you want to lose? Think of those reasons and dont stop!

1st Goal: 06/30/2014 -75 lbs (from starting Weight)
2nd Goal: 12/15/2014 -75 lbs (from End of last goal)
3rd GOal: 06/01/2015 -75 lbs (from End of last goal)

If by chance I get my goal before the end- I will tone my body. Get the definition and muscle I have always wanted Smile

Same here. I totally get that. I have gotten to were I remind myself that if it crosses my lips, it has to go on my food diary on here. That helps some.

My trick is to make a shake (Naturade Total Soy Meal Replacement) which is 140 calories and add either peppermint, cherry, or orange extract, and sometimes 1Tbs peanut butter (adds more calories) and drinking it at 9 pm. This helps keep the cravings away for me.

Naturade Total Soy 3lbs for $19.98 @ Sam's Club makes 47 shakes. Total Meal Replacement.

Peppermint - Peppermint Pattie 140 calories
Cherry - chocolate covered cherries 141 calories
Orange - orange chocolate 140 calories
Peanut butter - Butterfinger Blizzard 200 calories

I drink 4 shakes a day, have one small meal at 6pm. It works for me. Down from 418(pre fat secret)to 259. The more you move, the more you lose. Thank God for the compression garment to hold my stitches in!

Hello lovergirl I will be your diet buddy and I am doing it with you.
my sw was 441 lbs
cw is 410 lbs
gw is 200

After I get to my goal weight I might change that weight lower but I want to make it to 200 and see how I look. When I was 17 I was at 175 lbs with a 32 inch waist and my hip bones and ribs stuck out bad so I want to be at a weight that I feel good with.

Thanks all. How has everyone been doing? You can see my latest posts on here or my blog for my updates but I am pushing through and holding strong with my diet and exercise enjoying foods I love while having a bunch of healthy snacks to eat on at night when my cravings increase and willpower slack.

Exercise for me is just like going to work...WHO THE HECK LIKES GOING TO WORK!!! BUT we do it everyday because we have to or we'll get fired. And we go because of the money we make. Exercise is the same way. WHO THE HECK LIKES TO EXERCISE!!! LOL. Not me...well the exercise I do is fun and all but if I could sit on the couch and wiggle my toes to exercise that would be my preference. LOL BUT we do it because if we don't we won't lose and may just keep gaining. We do it for the weight loss and healthy body. It's one of those I don't feel like doing it but will walk towards the machine or exercise of choice anyway and just do it. Get my head into and just do it. Put the timer on and just do. Read my list of reasons I need to lose weight and just do it. No time to doddle and make excuses and cry because wahhh I don't want toooo. I can complain all the way to the treadmill and have tears of joy when I am done. Wash rinse repeat tomorrow.

I am with you all in the late night snacking struggle. But its' just that...a struggle not a defeat...WE CAN RESIST AND DO THIS!
