I weigh myself every morning - it really keeps me on track as to what's going on. I know it will vary up and down daily throughout the week but it works for me!

I only do it once a week now. I'm at my goal and more concerned with maintaining than losing, so I don't think I have to watch it as closely as I did before.

I also skip weighing in during shark week if I remember. It's so depressing because I gain this mysterious 5-10 pounds that disappears the following week. I think, in the pursuit of fairness, men should gain (an lose again) a mysterious 5 lbs every month.

I aim for once a week on wed but often find myself doing it every day and I feel that they may be my down fall because when I get on it and it's not what I expect it to be thats when I get depressed and binge eat.

I tend to weigh myself twice a week, once on a Tuesday morning and once on a Friday morning (my usual days off from work). I have never been a fan of weighing everyday, I think I would become obsessed with the numbers. Also, I love the feeling when you get on the scale after a few days and see a decent weight loss.

However, for the last week my partner has been weighing himself too. He's not dieting, but has been using the treadmill loads and has dropped about half a stone since we got it. Usually I keep the scales in the cupboard and only get them out when I want to weigh myself, but because he has been weighing himself, they have been out all week. Well, I just can't resist stepping on virtually everytime I go into the bathroom. It's getting ridiculous. They are going to have to go back into the cupboard. If I can't see them, I won't think about it until Tuesday or Friday.

P.S - I just noticed my ticker has turned orange. I'm so happy, I feel like I've achieved something.

While I am told we aren't to weigh ourselves daily... I found that keeping a journal (such as the magnetic pad on the fridge for the grocery list) of the date, time, and weight each day and then looking back at it 2 months later...I can see the progression. Despite the occasional up...it's usually down. Even when it's the same... The point is over time, you DO see the result and it's nice. I have also been told that if you do weight daily, to keep a 7 day running average of your weight and THAT is your actual weight. This is assuming you weigh at the same time every day. Take care!

I have been obssesively weighing myself 2x a day for years. And no matter how hard I try, like hiding or getting rid of scale,I can't break myself from doing it and if I miss a day or 2 it's always in the back of my mind.

My weight also jumps up mysteriously...even when I know I've done well with my eating and exercise. I am tempted to weigh everyday...but it usually ends with me upset that I don't see the progress I expect because of how good I feel. SO.....I weigh twice a week. I think the best judge is how you feel and look. A lot of times you can see improvements and feel them more than the scale agrees on a daily basis.

Every morning. I step on the scales to read increase or decrease. Lately, glad to say, decrease is showing. Slow but steady.

I look every few days when I'm trying to gain muscle/strength but daily when I am trying to shed fat. Many people will say daily is too often and that your body weight fluctuates. I look at my weight as just data. I can usually guess my weight within 1-2 pounds just by how I feel anyway, but that might be because I weigh myself so often. Body fat percentage is so much more important in the long run.

I weigh myself once a week, usually on a Saturday, and then I put my scale away (Out of sight, out of mind...). That way, I can see results without getting impatient. Make sense?
