I have had two back surgeries and a neck surgery and all the wait on my front, abdomen, is pulling on my back muscles and I've had a great deal of pain for the years I've gained back the weight. I have to be on narcotics for pain or I can't get through a day.

I can no longer walk very far or at all. I used to walk at least two miles a day with my dogs. At the time I lost the 65 lbs I was able to completely get off pain pills and had such little back pain that it was only an annoyance, nothing life changing as it is now.

So to not make this any longer am I in the right place with the GI Diet? I need to put a call out to him tomorrow bc I'm kind of confused. Are you all non-dairy or any at all?

Hi Rochelle— I read a couple of your posts. You are in a tough spot. Regarding the keto diet situation— I do not do keto myself but I know a little bit about it. Because this diet has been recommended to you because of a serious medical issue I would suggest you contact him again and request a consult with a dietician. Also, if you have a computer or a tablet or a phone that has a screen bigger than a postage stamp, do some research on Ketodiets from a couple different sites and Google sample Keto diet meals. There are so many sites out there that I think could be helpful to you. Many people here are on very high fat diets— that is what you need some clarification on. What is YOUR DOCTOR’s idea of a keto diet. I hope this helps.

We are about the same starting and goal weight, with very similar histories. I started just over a week ago and have lost 5 lbs. by eating as healthy as I can given the circumstances of each day! May I ask how your fatty liver disease was diagnosed? Did you have symptoms, etc.? Best of luck for a healthy new eating plan!

calorie counting
To get exact numbers you need to put in the ingredients you used in their pure form. The compound items assume a whole lot of things that may not be true.
