Motivation through others.

Hi, I'm one week into Keto and just finished going through Keto Flu. I just barely made it through work during the "flu", let alone working out and would have loved motivation from others. So I thought I would start posting once a day, a question about what motivates people when they are having a day where they just don't feel like following their "plan", to help newbies and not so newbies and even long timers. So today's question is...

What gets you to do your workout [gym/at home/ or whatever you do]when you don't feel like doing it???

I just read a blog where the woman, who wrote the blog, said she gets dressed everyday, in the morning, in her gym clothes, then after walking around the house for a couple of hours feeling foolish about procrastinating and not wanting to go, she gets up the gusto and just goes. I thought that was a great Idea!

I don't do workouts exactly. I walk for one hour - this easily fits in if I walk from my son's school to the subway station. If I need an incentive I remind myself, if get home early, I will have to deal with all the other stuff I have to do, like clean the oven,sooner. (using the exercise to avoid doing something else - great motivator)

I'm going to start walking (going to listen to books) this month. I give a easy exercise class 1 day a week at work and am thinking I could do a walk on my lunch half hour. My daughter is my workout buddy and helps motivate me as well. We, also, have a workout board at work to encourage each other. I'm only a month in (this time) and have a lot to lose. I am trying to get into a natural rhythm or routine. Sometimes it's hard because I work a lot of overtime. But, just ask me. . .I can find an excuse if I want one.Smile
