I am having a strange issue. I have been adding items to the food database but I cannot upload any pictures for them. This seem to only be an issue with the food that I add to the database because I am able to add pictures to food that other users have added. I'm using Firefox on a PC to upload pictures.
When I go to an entry that I have added, I scroll down to the bottom of the page and on the left hand side I click on the "+ Submit Photo" link and that takes me to the empty photo's page. I then click on the "+ Submit Photo" link that appears in the first box and nothing happens.
When I click the "+ Submit Photo" in a food entry that was added by another user, a dialogue box appears at the bottom of the page that allows me to browse my computer and upload pictures. I have done this and it works fine.
I have searched these forums and even contacted tech support and was told that I needed to use a third party image hosting site, but I think that is for adding pictures to your journal which is different from the food database unless I misunderstand. Either way, I don't even see any way to add a link to a image hosting site on the photo page of a food item.
I have spent a lot of time taking and editing the pictures of the food that I have added, I would very much like to add some more value to the food database.
Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt,
Unfortunately at this time, through the website food images may only be added to approved foods in the database. All foods must go through and approval process by us before they appear in the database for all users.

You might add this to the FAQs since I was having the same problem... I wasted a bit of time before I found this post.
Or ideally, you could have an error pop up (saying the above) when one tries to upload a picture, rather than having it just reload the page.

AND just how long does it take for FS to approve a recipe? lol, mine have been in my cookbook for years??? If it is a plant, eat it, if it comes from a plant, don't!

It seems silly that I can't edit a food that is already in the database and add a picture of the Nutrition Facts from the box to the edits I'm making to the food to demonstrate why I'm changing the entry!
