I am also a working mom with 2 little kids.

I don't have time for macros. In fact, I've never checked them, don't care. I need my chocolate. As long as I eat what I want, I won't fail. If I restrict myself, I'll derail, binge and eventually lose interest (been there, done that.)

As long as you're on a calorie deficit, you will lose weight, no matter the diet you're on. If you want to eat sugar all day you can, as long as you eat your RDI. Not healthy, but it's just an example.

What changed for me this time around (a year and a half ago), is that I don't restrict anything. Ice cream? YES. Chocolate? YES. Cake? YES. Calories are counted at RDI.
However, I have to say that I eat those things in moderation, and I cook very healthy stuff (no processed foods at home, EVER), but this is a personal choice and the fact that I love cooking and I have time to do it.
I also work out 3-4 times a day for 1,5-2hrs each time. Again, personal choice. You don't need to work out to lose weight.

Anyway... TLDR: You don't actually need a meal plan. Count the calories. If your RDI is 1600, have a 200Kcal breakfast, 400-500Kcal lunch and the rest at dinner. You will lose weight doing that.
IF, however, you also want to be healthy: cook healthy stuff and work out.
