Now that Fat Secret is compatible with Google Fit how do you sync the two? Is it done automatically in the background or do we have to do something manually?

This is exactly the question I've been trying to find the answer to. I've tried everything to get the two to sync to no avail. Emails to support have gone unanswered. Very disappointing.

Just an FYI, I got a disappointing response from fatsecret support. Here it is:

"Unfortunately at this time we are unable to extract information from Google Fit, we are able to write information but not read. We hope to better integrate soon. Please bear with us."

It is a month later....has anyone heard any more? I have had Google Fit since getting my LG G Watch R on Christmas. I just downloaded Calorie Counter on my Android phone and it has a place to slide Fit to on, but it doesn't seem to be pulling exercise in. I just did it this afternoon as a test.

I can confirm on my end that nothing happens when I select to connect Google fit to fatsecret.

Nothing in my end either and here I thought I was doing something wrong. What's the point of a partnership if for the past 6 months it does diddly squat.

This is disappointing. If it can't read my steps, what's the point?

I can't even figure out what is being "written" to google fit. I enabled google fit and authorized it but I don't see any calorie information in google fit.

I hope they fix it soon because they are listed as compatible with the new Google Fit update on the Official Android blog. It still isn't working for me. The second it is working I am transferring from Lifesum to this app. I can't stand to do it right now because I hate manually inputting my exercise information into the Fatsecret app.

I think it originally was meant to import your step count from google fit into fatsecret. The google fit api supports more data than what can be seen in the google fit app so maybe something is syncing that we cant see but the effort seems to have been abandoned by fat secret, I think they should remove it from the fatsecret app.
