I do wish you lots of luck. 1000 calories a day seems really low for your body weight, however. Please be sure to be safe on your weight loss journey.

I agree with Lucille on your calorie count. Are you working with your doctor or nutritionist? It has to be sustainable for the long run and a life pattern to keep me motivated and satisfied. Food is our fuel and not a reward. I do intermittent fasting and it gives me pause to rest my digestive system - liquids of cold and hot teas and water, no food after 8pm and break it the next day at my noontime meal. This allows me to consider my meals and what it will give me for nourishment. Movement is essential for our bodies to change and feel healthy and we adapt as things change, I wish you good luck in this journey.

Hi @Virginiatalamantez I'm new myself Started 3 days ago mainly just been tracking the food I eat on here. This is my 1st Post. I'm on a mission to lower my A1C and hopefully about 15 lb's at the sametime. I'm Type 2 and have let my sugar get out of control again. I've done a low carb diet before and loss 20 lbs some years back. You might want to count Carbs along with calories as @morninglory1 said a 1000 a day is kind of tight to get by on. Keep you carbs between 130 & 150 and you could get by with a few more calories I would think. A true low carb diet is 130 or below. Sometimes just lowering the Carbs will make some lb's fall off by themselves. Add the exercise and it will definitely accelerate it. Good Luck!
