I am proud of myself - I have lost about 20 pounds since I was first diagnosed with type 2 diabetes on June 29th of this year. I have gotten a few compliments that my face looks thinner... I will take it. I haven't weighed myself since the weekend so I am going to get on the scale tomorrow morning and hope that I have gone down a little more.

I am hoping that I can use this site to help keep track of my food and find some new ideas for meals.

Thank you! I lost 2 more pounds so I am pleased with that. I am having trouble motivating myself for the exercise portion of this new lifestyle. Being lazy is so easy lol. I will get there, however. This site is a lifesaver!

Congratulations! I think that the exercise portion is really important. I started just by walking and listening to my music. It was amazing how GOOD it felt, and how much FUN it was! You may not burn a ton of calories (maybe around 300 for an hour of walking), but I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the results! Start slow .. don't stress .. just move!! Good Luck!

I just started today. Doing good so far. Eating a few mild cheddar cheese cubes right now as a snack.
