5K run
I am so excited but nervous all at the same time. I am going to do a 5K run on November 22nd. I have NEVER done anything like this and I know I am not in shape enough for this, however, that is not going to stop me. I am wondering if any of you have any pointers or websites I could check out for beginner runners with only around 5 weeks to train. LOL! All in all though I will do this. Thanks for anything you might be able to help with.

Salmon Patty Recipe?
Does anyone have a recipe for Salmon Patties with calories, protein and point values? I am on WW and my husband is on a high protien diet and I need to join both diets. Oh, and he is not a Salmon person but he wants to try them. I would greatly appreciate it.

Congrats! I understand how you feel and I love to express it when I have acomplished some more weight loss. It is a struggle and it is exciting when you have lost. So good for you and keep up the great work!

Another new one here
I want to say how much WW has helped me. I have lost 20 pounds in 3 months and sometimes it was hard but most of the time it was easy. I do enjoy eating what I want but I catch myself making better food decisions just because I don't want to waste those points. Anyway, I am a mother of two, wife of 8 years, and a CNA of 5 years. I love to cook and enjoy the company of others. Most people say I meet no stranger and have no loss of words. I don't know what they are talking about. :d I have a goal to be 135 by the beginning of April 2009. I want to learn mixed martial arts so I believe that will help me meet my physical goals to lose this weight. WW has definitely helped with nutrition part. I need people to keep me motivated and it looks like there are a great bunch here. The most help I need is making sure I hit the gym as hard as I can. I do alot of talking myself out of going the farthest I can with my body. I also need new recipes to feed myself and my family. If anyone has any advice on these two main subjects that would be wonderful. Well, I guess they are right, I have no loss of words. :) Thank you all!

carbs and aspartame....
I had a few friends who have used the Atkin's diet and when they started they were aloud to use Splenda. They may not use the other two sweeteners but Splenda was fine. Aspertame and Splenda are different. Aspertame is bad for your body. Look up what it does to your body. It will shock you.
