Crunchy Foods
Anyone have suggestions for Crunchy Foods on Atkins. I posted some on my blog but are looking for some more ideas.

Miracle Noodle (Now you can eat Pasta w/o Worrying about Net Carbs!!!)
I got my miracle noodles today! They were certainly different than regular pasta but here is what I did with them. I sauteed some celery, a little onion and a sliced mushroom in some butter, sauteed the noodles in and added baby shrimp. It made for a wonderful, filling meal and I loved that they were essentially no calories. I don't think they are for every pasta substitute but for stir fry dishes like this they are fabulous. I found them for a fairly good price. I got 4 packages of angel hair for $10 and free shipping.

decreasing carb intake
You and your friend should both read "Wheat Belly" - available at most libraries. It will change everything about your diet.

Hello, looking for support and buddies!
Hi - I am a WIWASHM (Wish I Was A Stay at Home Mom) (so unfortunately full time at a desk) but I hit the same type of realization when I shopped for a dress for my daughters wedding and had to go up 4 sizes from where I really thought I was. Then when the wedding pics came back I was aghast at the fat woman walking my daughter down the aisle. I started dieting the next week (mid april 2012) and was coming along VERY VERY SLOWLY - I week with a 1 or so down and then back up. Then in May I started the Atkins diet. I have lost 26.5 lbs so far and feel great. I think I have finally figured out the low carb lifestyle and believe it is really the healthiest choice. I just bought the book Wheat Belly and it makes me even more sure of the choice to limit carbs. At any rate - would love to be your buddy on this journey.

Over Weighing yourself
I do the same thing (weigh daily) but find that my efforts are usually rewarded a day or two out. Knowing that it keeps me inline.

HCG Diet...Day 1 here we go...
I did HCG. I lost 22 lbs in a month and kept it off for 3 months, quit smoking, gained 10 lbs and thought I would do HCG again. It destroyed my thyroid and I put on 40 lbs in 6 weeks. I am now on thyroid meds for the rest of my life. Be careful.

I felt sure I had put on heaps:roll:, because I had a small serve of roast dinner and wine at friends, but thankfully this week lost .6kg :). Still continue my exercise. I wonder how long I can continue ...
