Mini Blenders - is ther a good one that can handle daily use?
I have the personal blender from GNC - very similar to the magic bullet. The container you blend in turns into your to-go mug. It's great! I've had it for a year and have no problems. It's about $30-40 and even comes with two blender mugs!

Kate Upton and Skinny Gurl website slam
And where exactly would these "30 lbs" of flab come off of her body from?? Some people make me sick. I'd strive to have a body that fit and lean over a skinny, emaciated model body any day of the week! Amen, Jess.

Traveling-what now?
If you're family is going to be BBQing, try asking for (or even bringing your own) healthier options, like turkey burgers (with a whole wheat bun!) or chicken shishkabobs with lots of veggies. Honestly, I find them so much more delicious with a fantastic marinade than a store bought burger dripping in fat! Whatever you do though, steer clear of the macaroni and potato salad. No no on that much mayo! Good luck :) Just be conscious of your choices, and you'll do just fine!

Wedding dieting extremes
That's crazy!! I agree with Staci... I think the typical engagement period is about a year. That's PLENTY of time to lose 20 pounds naturally. And SAFELY. People are just so obsessed with quick fixes these days..

Thigh problem
As I've heard before, the first place you gain weight is the last place you'll lose it from! So keep at it. If you've always held weight in your thighs, it will likely be the last place you lose fat from. And I totally agree with the P90x legs and back workout. It's fantastic. And sjojos.. need some padding in the booty? I've got plenty to go around..

RUNNING ADVICE!
Definitely take a look at your shoe situation. A pair of running sneakers is supposed to only be worn for 300-400 miles I believe. What I was told from other runners is you should expect to go through 2 pairs of sneakers during half marathon training. I don't have any articles on hand to back this up, this is just what other running enthusiasts have passed on. I would try to find a local running store (with people who know what they're talking about!!) and poke your head in for some suggestions :) And eat cherries anyway! They're so delicious..

Make sure with the tea that you're drinking tons of water as Imdoc said, since tea can be a diuretic. Good luck!! I've been there with the loss of friends.. It's a terrible thing, but you can over come it!

5K ???
Manda_k, it's funny because I feel almost the exact opposite. When I run on a treadmill I feel like I'm just trudging along, going very slowly. But when I'm outside, you get a breeze on your face and the scenery changes, so it feels much faster to me. And don't be embarrassed about running outside! Everyone has a different running style and techniques, so no one ever runs in the same way. I know I sure as heck look goofy when I run, but that's okay! At least I'm running, right?

5K ???
Running outside is the BEST! It works an entirely different set of muscles than running on a treadmill. It's because you're actually propelling your body weight forward, rather than just letting the treadmill move your legs. Keep up the good work! You'll definitely surprise yourself with what you can do.

Looking for a speed/distance/pace monitor. Suggestions?
I use the Garmine Forerunner 405CX. If you're planning on running outside, I highly reccomend it (No footpod needed for outdoors!) It comes with the Heart Rate Monitor chest strap to track heart rate and calories burned. It uses GPS for distance, and also can track time, pace, and pretty much anything you can imagine. It has auto-scroll, so it scrolls through and displays whichever items you would like to look at while out on your run. The cool thing about this watch is it's very customizable in terms of what data you would like to use. Plus, you get to upload everything automatically to the Garmin website and displays all of your run info. It's great! If you have any other questions, let me know.
