How am I supposed to get new buddies...
dorindam59 how are you doing on Atkins now? are you still following it? I started it about 2 months ago and followed it strictly for about 6 weeks. I was so tired all the time and frustrated at the small variety of foods available after that length of time. I never got to the gym once in that 6 weeks and I still feel like i'm trying to drag my motivation out again.

Yes I run once in a while.I really like to run but just can't seem to find the motivation to actually do it. Need to get my butt in gear!

Amber you look amazing! Thanks for your input! I've been doing the stairstepper but it seems like if I do that for more than like 3 days in a row, my pants already get tight around the thighs... maybe i'll have to switch to the eliptical.

Someone like me
I am very happy for everyone losing weight on this forum but I would like to try to find someone who is very similar to myself to help with the day to day weight loss. I'm 30 y/o, not married, no kids and only want to lose about 8ish lbs just so my clothes are more comfortable. I'm in relatively good shape and eat well but I just can't frickin' lose a pound! I go to the gym and eat pretty well and the scale will just not move! I have a great sense of humor :badgrin: so am just looking for someone open to being a "buddy" in the same situation. Thanks!!

Head Cravings
I am (was!) a candy/sweets addict and always crave it after lunch or dinner because I would always have a little desert. I am doing low carb now and I've been able to stave that off by having a glass of sugarfree drink like Crystal Light. It is sweet but no calories or carbs. Sugar free candy is your friend also. I think totally depriving yourself of sweets just makes it worse, just improvise! :)

hairy bikers diet
I make mashed cauliflower and add cheese and spices to it. It is a good replacement for potatoes even though it's not the same consistancy. That's what i've got for lunch today!

Butt Booster???
lunges, squats and donkey kicks. Only takes a few minutes a day. I get down on the rug in my bedroom and do each of them until I can't do one more!

Amusement Park food
I treated myself a little bit with some dippin' dots and french fries, but i did remove the bun from my burger and didn't eat the chips in my walking taco. I felt like I was eating real food again but still had the low carb idea in the back of my mind. It was a great weekend!

Hi all. I'm going to an amusement park tomorrow and i can't think of anything that would be available there besides maybe salad. But i'm sick of salad! I'm on a low carb, high protein diet. I'd prefer not to have to haul food with me. Thanks for any tips.

I grabbed some probiotics from the co-op last night and took the first one this morning. I don't know how quickly they work but we'll see!

Hi all- is anyone a trainer on here? I think if I had someone to actually MAKE ME exercise I may not be able to make excuses and not do it. Would someone like to be my daily/ 2x weekly check-in and I can do the same for you?

Painful Stomach Gas
I don't have a whole lot of weight to lose but I am trying to be healthier and have started a low carb diet. I am eating tons of veggies but it leads to terrible painful stomach gas and bloating. :cry: I have it normally but not as constant as I have with this diet. Does anyone know a good natural method to stomach gas relief or veggies that don't cause it to start with? Thanks so much.
