Freezing Meals Ahead of Time
That's how I am now too, Lisa. I have a desk drawer devoted to snacks and have commandeered a drawer in our fridge at work too. I keep things like fruit, almonds, coffee, creamer, Splenda, deli turkey & roast beef, fat free cheese, Greek yogurt, etc.

Freezing Meals Ahead of Time
Wow thanks guys for the tips! I do love making soup or chili and bringing leftovers. We tend to stay away from those types of foods during warm weather, though. I think it would be a good goal to bake some chicken breasts ahead of time. I also wish I could make a huge salad and break it up for lunches, but salad seems to go bad QUICKLY in my experience. Hmm...

Starving at 5pm
Britt, I have the BL cookbooks and they have a lot of creative recipes... but I always forget to write down the ingredients and actually buy the stuff to make the recipes! I'm like you in the rush-rush of work mode. I bought 100 calorie packs of natural almonds and some Greek yogurt to help. Oh and COFFEE helps me the absolute most. I don't know what it is about it, but a nice mug of coffee makes me feel full for a long time!! I use a sugar free creamer and a little splenda (or whatever sweetener you prefer) and I'm full for at least 2 hours :)

Freezing Meals Ahead of Time
I'm just wondering what types of meals people like to make ahead of time and freeze for the lunches during the week. I have a VERY full schedule with 4 kids, a husband, church life, and fulltime job. I find myself eating sandwiches or Lean Cuisines/Healthy Choices for lunch because we NEVER have leftovers at my house lol. I need some good high protein/low calorie meals I can make ahead of time and freeze (that will taste good too!). Any suggestions are appreciated!!!

ZUMBA
I would give anything to take a Zumba class, but the closest one offered in my area is over an hour away :(. I bought the Kinect game, and I don't understand it at ALL.

Clothes!
I completely agree! Every time I move down a size or two I pass clothes on to my sister or my mom. I hope I get to pass a LOT of clothes to them!!! Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who can pass clothes down to me... maybe when I get a lot smaller though!

Counting Veggies?
I always include veggies in my diet calendar! You have to think of food as fuel, and your diet calendar is just keeping track of how much fuel you got that day and what KINDS of fuel. It just makes sense to me to include everything you consume- best to be completely honest about everything so you don't get into the habit of leaving things out! Good luck :)

Food & Depression Linked

Sodium Problems!
Does anybody have some suggestions for cutting my sodium? I'm gonna lay off my guilty snack- beef jerky. But anybody know of sandwich meat that is low sodium? Or any other low sodium suggestions? Thanks!:d

101 Reasons to Lose Weight
107. Accessories. I want to be able to wear watches that don't pinch my arm, belts that don't divide me into 2 belly rolls, and necklaces that don't have to be a mile long to hang nicely around my neck. 108. God. I think our bodies were created to work perfectly but we mess them up with our laziness and junk food! I want my body to be what He intended it to be. 109. My Hubby. He has never ever ever said anything about my weight, but I am POSITIVE that he's not gonna complain about his wife slimming down and wearing some new, skimpier lingerie!

Frequency of Weigh-Ins: Everyday vs. Once a Week
I like weighing myself because if I wake up in the morning and see I'm a pound or two down, it motivates me to work even harder that day. Then by the time my week's up I've usually done really well with each little daily motivator.

Frequency of Weigh-Ins: Everyday vs. Once a Week
So I've noticed that a lot of people weigh every day, while some weigh once a week or every other day. My question is for those who weigh every day: Do you feel like you stay on track better because you're keeping a daily watch on your progress? I weigh every day but I don't record it because my weight fluctuates SO MUCH with each day. I was just wondering what your experience is with this! Thanks! :d

Just wanted to say hi since I'm new here..
You are not alone! My husband is the WORST influence when it comes to junk food! Don't get me wrong, he congratulates me when I reach a goal and doesn't mind going walking with me or anything. But his thing is FOOD. He eats cookies, ice cream, candy bars, etc etc right in front of me while I'm hugging onto my water bottle for dear life! But I guess it's good that he does that in a sense because there are always gonna be people all around you eating junk and it's up to us to be strong. (However, not all those other people around us will offer a bite of their junk like my hubby does LOL). Be strong!

Embarassing But Necessary
Thanks guys for all the input. Turns out I was getting TOO much fiber. So I cut it back a little bit and my tummy is recovering.

Embarassing But Necessary
Okay, this is horrible to have to write about, but I need some good advice from people with experience. I have been on my diet for almost 4 weeks now, and ever since I started I have had terrible stomach problems. I eat plenty of fruits and veggies, drink only water all day, eat whole grains and get plenty of fiber, yet have been constipated for weeks. I have tried fiber supplements, that didn't help. I have tried ex-lax, that didn't help. I don't know what to do. My sister suggested stool softeners. It got so bad that last night I was almost in tears because of the pain and discomfort. I'm horrified at the idea of writing about this online but surely someone can help me?! :?

Number of Pounds Lost vs. Sizes Down
By the way... thanks guys for your help! It's beginning to sound like it's closer to 20-25 lbs per size in women's clothing if you're average height. I'm 5'9", I'm guessing that's close to average. When I've lost weight before, though, you could tell it on me faster than you could on my mom and sister who are both much shorter than me. So at least I have a little bit of an advantage by being sort of tall.

Number of Pounds Lost vs. Sizes Down
Ajay, what's the difference between an 18 in plus size stores and an 18 in regular stores?

Number of Pounds Lost vs. Sizes Down
Ok here's my question. For someone who's starting out 300+ lbs, how many lbs do you think equals a size? I started at 343 (humiliating) and have now lost down to 327, 16 lbs lost so far. Despite the 16 lb lost, my clothes are really just starting to fit loosely, but still fit. I've always heard about 10 lbs lost equals a size down, but apparently that's not true for us big girls. Anyone have some experience to share about this? Thanks! :d
