58 and strugging to lose
I promise you, if you quit eating anything with wheat in it, you will feel better! I suffered from suicidal depression for over 30 years. A few weeks with no bread? Gone, hypothyroidism - much improved, fibromyalgia/pain - gone! What have you got to lose but a dependency on the additives they put in our food and pain?

Migraine Question
My son takes B3 (Niacin, NOT the Flush free kind) and Pottasium for migrain. Also Tumeric with black pepper

If anyone needs me Im lurking in the shadows.
I hope you remember all of these unkind words when something happens. Then you will see what it feels like to know you are responsible for something you can't take back. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

Hello
Did you try water aerobics? It takes the weight of your body off while moving. I love to just walk in the water.

Diet Break
That's the way it was for me, too. I was eating 700 - 900 calories a day when I started weight clinic a few years ago. They told me I was starving my body into keeping every calorie I put in. Lost 25 pounds the first month on 1200 calories. Who would think it? Now after 150 pounds, yo-yoing back and forth a bit, I became stagnate. Could not lose any! I am slowing losing again now on a strict HFLC regime. I wish you luck with your journey.

Diet Break
Watch for hidden sugar and wheat! Even tomato soup (Canned variety) has BOTH in it.

Disabled
I suffered from suicidal depression for over 30 years. I took every pill they ever made. It would help for a few weeks, then bam, right back in the pit. I don't have that problem any longer. The solution - NO WHEAT! believe me, it is worth getting off of. The genetic modification they made to the wheat is what is driving the depression and weight gain.

Older women????
This baby feels like I've been sitting still for too long. I think I need a change of atmosphere for a while.

Older women????
I am going to try getting in some water aerobics since the weather is good. That really helps with moving more without "feeling" it!

My trick is to make a shake (Naturade Total Soy Meal Replacement) which is 140 calories and add either peppermint, cherry, or orange extract, and sometimes 1Tbs peanut butter (adds more calories) and drinking it at 9 pm. This helps keep the cravings away for me. Naturade Total Soy 3lbs for $19.98 @ Sam's Club makes 47 shakes. Total Meal Replacement. Peppermint - Peppermint Pattie 140 calories Cherry - chocolate covered cherries 141 calories Orange - orange chocolate 140 calories Peanut butter - Butterfinger Blizzard 200 calories I drink 4 shakes a day, have one small meal at 6pm. It works for me. Down from 418(pre fat secret)to 259. The more you move, the more you lose. Thank God for the compression garment to hold my stitches in!

Drink lots of WATER
Water helps flush out the toxins. I buy bottled water and we go through 6 40-bottle cases in 3 weeks. (My son won't drink tap water, even filtered) Luckily I get it at Sam's Club for less than $4 a case.

It is very hard, but you can do it! I've lost over 100 lbs. and hit a wall. Then I started using Naturade Total soy meal replacement. It's good. The directions call for 2 scoops per shake, but since I divide my meals into 5 - 6 small meals a day, for breakfast (6am & 9am) I use only one scoop per 8 oz water with a tsp of evaporated milk. That is very filling to me and only has 140 calories total! Best though is lunch, when I use 2 scoops, 1c ice, 8oz. water and 1 tsp condensed milk. Very satisfying chocolate (or vanilla) shake. I have another 1 scooper for 3pm and 9pm, with a salad and protien for 6pm. It's working!

I need help
I too have been through many surgeries. I had a lot of weight to lose (still need to lose some), but even being bed bound for over a year, I found that if I would continue to move my feet, legs, hands and arms constantly, it built the strength in them, so when I was able, I could use my recumbent bike. I started off at only 5 minutes at a time. Now I can go 1 hour. Just keep moving. Good luck

High Protein Diet
Hey guys! I have discovered a product that is high in protein (30g), low in fat (3g)and carbs (5g). When I drink the Premeier Protein shake, I never get hungry between meals! To beat that, my energy level is much higher. Wanted to spread the word. 160 calories, 1g sugar.

upset
FYI I had gallbladder removal in 1981, and if you are not careful, you can still have "attacks". Diarrhea is a constant companion as well.(better than the opposite!) Lots of healthy veggies, easy on the fatty meat, and things should be great! Good luck with your weight loss journey.

How do you determine serving sizes and calories for home made dishes?
I find that I can go to submit recipe and enter all the ingredients (it will pull up individual items and you enter quantity), and the site will calculate all the info. And I can have a copy of the recipe for future reference. It takes a few minutes, but it is well worth it!:d
