Less calories , more exercise but lost less
you seem to be pretty low on the protein amount you are getting, try decreasing the sugar and starch to about 50% and upping your protein to 25 or 30 percent and see if that works for you.

Evening Cravings
If you are eating like you were in january, then you are eating too little during the day, try to spread at least 1200 calories over the course of your day with a good mix of protein, fats, and carbs, and that should take care of most of your late night problem.

New ideas for lunch
ok, this might not be revolutionary to you all, but I tried it today and wow was it great. Let me preface by saying that I don't eat any of the frozen meals out there, because i cannot stand the flavor, but i tried a green valley fresh steamer today called "Healthy colors". Its a steampack of tomato, zuccini, peppers and carrots in an olive oil herb sauce - I added some chicken to it and for under 300 calories, I am litterally STUFFED!!! Anyone else do this or have any of your own clever ideas on lunch options? The chocolate releases endorphins in your brain which make you feel happy.(They are also released in exersicing). Your body remembers the feeling of the endorphins and wants more - causing you to crave the chocolate. and it may be truly addictive... see the study in the link below

Anyone eat before a workout?
think of your body like a car, you wouldnt try to drive 200 miles without gas in the tank would you? I eat about 30 minutes or so before a work out, nothing huge, just a spoonful of peanut butter, a hard boiled egg, a piece of string cheese, or even a small peice of chicken or turkey - something to give me some protein.

Please add a way to manually enter custom food
there already is a way to enter custom food, just enter your meal as one custom food item - enter the calories and fat etc.

Where is my motivation & wilpower? Has anyone seen it?
the sleeping definitely sounds like depression, or some other issue that you should see a doctor about. When I had my bout with depression a decade ago, i could sleep for 16-20 hours a day, but I also didnt eat, I was never hungry. Go see your doctor to start with and then move forward from there. Mel

Low calories but lots of satisfaction?
*greek yogurt - i like dannon the best. *cucumbers, if you don't like them plain, have a small amount of hummus with them *cant go wrong with salad - huge amount of mixed greens, lots of veggies, some chicken, not very much dressing - you will be full full full

Back on Track
Ok, after being away for over 7 months, I am back and back on track. I gained back some of the weight, but didnt do too badly considering I sprained my ankle so badly, that it might as well have been broken. My dad got laid off, so I have been helping out with my parents finances. And I was transferred to a new job in a different part of town, that had a VERY stressful training period. BACK, I AM!! Nice to see that not too much has changed Katie! ;) Mel

Study: Rapid Weight Loss Best Way to Slim Down
ok, 3lbs per week is quite different from some of the diets people are advocating on this site and elsewhere that advocate losing a pound per day. also, this study is great for telling you how you are more likely to reach a goal weight, however most of us don't just want to REACH our goal weight, we want to keep it off. Where is the data on how the participants did 1, 3, and 5 years later?

What is wrong with people!?
no touchie no feelie!!! I am lucky, I sit with a bunch of folks who say all the right things, how impressed they are with my work ethic - going to the gym every day - etc etc. it is great! if someone starts grabbing parts of me, I would probably remove the offending digit that touched me!

Protein too high?
generally 1/3 to 1/2 gram of protein per lb of body weight. so for me between 76 and 102 grams of protein per day. 1 gram or more per day is really used by bodybuilders - 200 - 300grams per day for me would not be good. Keep in mind you can damage your kidneys if you take in too much protein.

Weird, I keep seeing people say keto takes away their cravings yet so many yo-yo, quit altogether and leave the site, or have a weekly binge. Wonder why.
