Finding time for exercise and effective methods with 3 kids?
I am trying to lose 50 lbs after having my 3rd (and final child) and am wondering how to fit in EFFECTIVE exercise. I breastfeed every 2 hours (30-45 minutes of which are spent actually breastfeeding) and have 2 other children at home to care for, 5 and 3. Thankfully, I am able to send my 5 year old to school during the day so I only have 1 other to care for. I wake up at 7 to send my 5 year old off to school, and as soon as he is gone, the 3 year old wakes up, as well as the 1 month old. I sit down to breastfeed, then feed the 3 year old. Throughout the day, I do laundry, clean house, care for the 3 year old and breastfeed every 2 hours. My 5 year old comes home at 4, and the next hour is spent going through his backpack, helping with homework and incorrect answers on schoolwork, mediating between the 3 and 5 year old's fights, making sure all the toys are picked up so they are not everywhere when daddy comes home. About 5, I breastfeed so I can cook (and hopefully eat) before baby is hungry again. I begin cooking right after, then daddy comes home about 6. We try to eat supper at 6 (if baby doesn't decide she is hungry again), then we do kitchen cleanup. This is followed by breastfeeding again, followed by bathtime for the 3 and 5 year old. After bathtime is done, I sit down and start on my homework for my online college courses (so does daddy for his). At 8:30, the 3 and 5 year old go to bed. The next hour is spent getting them to stay in bed and go to sleep. More breastfeeding follows, followed by more homework. This continues til about 11 at night, when the baby feeds 1 more time, then we go to bed. I wake up every 2-3 hours at night to breastfeed, waking up again at 7. Where in this schedule can I fit in time to exercise? We have no exercise equipment and nowhere to fit any that would not pose a danger to my children. I can't go to bed any later (even if I could get up) because I already spend about 1.5-2 hours a night breastfeeding, so I already only get about 5-6 hours a night. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
