So, vegetarian - this has resolved a lot of my hunger issues. Not really hungry at all between meals.
I had been worried about missing nuts, but I'm still working around kidney stone issues. That slows down my former urge to eat nuts - since it hurts when I eat too much of them.
Still marveling that I'm effortlessly losing weight while eating things that have been forbidden since I before left home in my teens: No fruits in my household, ever. Carbs like bread and grains where never on the menu. I really like these things!
Surprised at how easy it is to avoid meats, dairy, butter, oils and eggs. Now, I'm slowly slipping into a mindset of how nice it is not to eat other 'people' other living beings. Now I find it a bit aversive to think of eating chicken or even pasture raised beef. Since we raise chickens, it's hard to figure out what to do with all the eggs!
Switching our gardening over to see how much of our food we can supply for ourselves. That's sort of a relief in these strange times!

I find myself baffled. I am now allowed to eat all the foods that have been cautionary or forbidden since youth - beans, corn, grains, carrots... However, my inflammation is down and I'm feeling fine. Plus, my weight is slowly dropping. The only difference is that I'm not eating meat, eggs, yogurt, etc.
So, that's different.
The other main difference is that Dr. Greger is right, I'm eating enough to not be hungry. And, before, I was always, ALWAYS! hungry.
Huh...

Well, being a vegetarian is in direction opposition to the diet I've followed all my life.
We are following Dr. Greger's How Not to Diet strategies which has us eating no fats, no meats, and no wheat flour. What are we eating? Green vegetables, real grains, beans, fruits and berries. Those last, the fruits and berries have been off my plate most of my life.
Oddly enough, I'm slowly dropping weight. And, Dr. Greger is right, I'm fully satisfied. I've had to give up almost all nuts due to my kidney's getting a bit pissy, so that's probably another area that helped for weight loss.
But, I've found I don't really miss oils, butters etc. on my food. I just use a bit of real honey - another shocker. I can make a wonderful dessert cobbler with a cup of real fruit and oat flour, with rolled oats to make a nice streusel.
So, for now, this has been a wonderful new experiment.

So, been feeling somewhat poorly for a while and finally discovered that too much nuts can annoy one's kidneys - almond flour really sets things off.
So, switched from keto to Dr. Michael Greger's diet, which is essentially vegetarian. I feel much better eating grains, fruits, beans and veg. But, I have to avoid so many things to heal the kidneys! It's a hodge podge of things to avoid - no cruciferous, no oxalates - so no dark leafy greens, most nuts are bad - I can feel when I have nuts, there's pain in my back and middle. My mixed greens salad has too much spinach, so I'm getting iceberg and romaine.
Giving up dairy, cheese and eggs - but, I've got a freezer with a bunch of home made cheeses from last year. So, I'm going to eat those before I quit entirely.
Had to add a lot of straight lemon juice - it really helps!
This diet is a 180 from my former strategies.
