Alright... I think I have some serious health issues that I'm planning on going to the doctor soon about. I think I have high blood pressure, and probably high cholesterol.
The reason I think I have high blood pressure is because the last time I went they told me it was a little high but could be just because I was rushing there. While maybe they are right, because I was rushing that day, and they didn't seem too alarmed by it, if I don't have it yet I KNOW I will soon.
I eat fast food multiple times a week, and sometimes multiple times a DAY. I AM SO EMBARRASSED TO ADMIT THAT!!!! I feel gross, but I work full time and go to school full time so I'm always running around and find it easiest and most convenient to just grab something through the drive through. I know that this habit, since it has been around a year if not more in practice, has been causing me to gain a lot of weight -- nearly 15+ lbs!! But I also know that it is extremely bad for your health; I get stomach aches all the time, constipation, diarrhea, vomiting... it's just too much!!
I'm so ashamed that I have picked up this habit, I try to hide it from everyone. So I'm pretty sure that this habit is causing an increase in my blood pressure.
Also -- I'm a smoker. I read online that that can be a factor in high blood pressure. Sometimes after I smoke, my heart flutters. Right now I'm laying in bed and my heart aches, like there's something putting pressure on it.
Also, my knees ache when I have done no physical activity, and my feet have been becoming numb a lot easier too. Also a sign of high blood pressure.
I'm only 20 years old (not even, my birthday is next month), I should not have these habits so early or these concerns... so I'm going to drastically change myself.
1) I will pack my lunch and dinners and snacks and carry them in my purse so when I'm hungry -- even if I'm in the car at the time -- I can just grab it and eat.
2) I will quit smoking cold turkey. I know people say that's a bad idea but I feel like I'm not dependent on smoking and that I really just do it because I'm bored.
3) I will get some activity in my life, even if it is just a quick slow paced walk, or 20 minutes of yoga. Just SOMETHING to get my blood moving and burn fat, even if it's not much.
4) I will record my food intake and BE HONEST ABOUT IT. I will confide in someone my plans so I will have support. I will stay under 25 points (weight watchers).
5) I will change my life. I will save my life.
