Stuck at 132, which isn't all bad, but would like to be down a few more pounds. My poor daughter in law fell and broke her leg last Thursday. She will have surgery next Tuesday to install 3 pins if the swelling has gone down enough by then. She is in lots of pain. We had a wonderful 4th of July with friends and family. Love me some fireworks!! Went to a surprise birthday party for my sister and had a good time visiting with family. She was really surprised, it was held at the country club and the staff called her that her husband had gotten overheated while go golfing and she needed to come pick him up. When she walked in we were all waiting for her! Good times! I'm still in the boot and hubby is improving daily. Hope you all are enjoying your summer.

What a week! Took hubby for his 6 week checkup. The actual hip replacement is healed, but the associated tendon repair has another 8 to 10 weeks at least before it will heal. He goes back in 6 weeks and if he still is limping like he is now they will order an MRI to see if the tendon repair needs to be redone. Eye exams on Tuesday, I have a cataract on my left eye that doesn't really bother me yet, but on the right eye I have an unusual kind of cataract and it is distorting my vision. I knew something was going on there and was afraid of macular degeneration. So thankful it isn't that. I am eligible for surgery on it, but hubby is going to have his removed so I will wait til he is recovered. Wednesday I spent 3 (count them 3!!) hours in the dentist chair. The implant failed to integrate with the jawbone because there was defect in the bone at the implant site. So drilled the defective bone matter away, got a bone graft and then a larger implant was installed. Boy is my jaw sore and swollen. Jeez, ain't it fun to get old!? Grandson came today to help hubby around the farm. He is such a great kid!! He's 19 about 6'04" and a hard worker. Today is the oldest granddaughter's birthday.I can't believe she is 27!!! Hope all my FS peeps are doing great!

Well crud! I've been postponing my weigh in hoping to get a couple of pounds off, but time to face the music. I've been doing too much snacking, even on good stuff those calories add up. Hubby's hip is doing well. Taking him for his 6 week checkup on Monday. Anxious to see if the femur is knitting to the prosthesis. Tuesday we go to the eye doctor for regular checkup. But mine may be interesting as my vision in my right eye has changed in the last couple of months. Then to the dentist on Wednesday for the next step in the implant process. Busy! Grandson has been here for a few days to help around the farm. He and hubby have gotten several things taken care of. Hope you all are doing good. Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there.

Yay! Now if those pounds will just stay off! Hubby is doing good. He overdid it one day last week and really set himself back, but he has behaved since then and has now graduated from the walker to a cane. I forget to tell that my foot rolled under when I was getting out of a chair and I stepped down with all my weight and fell. Fortunately the sofa was close and I fell on it instead of the floor. So now I am in a walking boot which I hated for the first couple of days, but now don't like to go without. I really does relieve the pain when walking. So hubby and I make quite the pair! Both of us are limping along! Our grandson went home after helping around the farm for several days. He will be back probably next week. He had things to do at home, but it has rained for 3 days, so don't know if he got them accomplished. Hope all my FS friends have a blessed Memorial Day weekend. Doesn't look like any of our family can come up, have to work. Darn!

Hubby's hip replacement surgery went perfectly and he is busy healing. Doing his exercises and walking with a walker. Got a lift chair for him and he is doing great. He of course thinks it is terribly slow, thinks he should be back on the tractor or bulldozer already!! Typical of guys. He is a hard working man and he is anxious to get jobs done. There is always things that need doing on a farm. I am struggling to keep my weight below 130. I know my goal is 135 but I prefer to stay below 130. Hope all of my FS friends are happy and healthy. I'm grateful for hubby's successful surgery...God is good!!
