Hi! I started at 154.4lb on 10/26/09 and am working to get to just under 140. I've been there before and its perfect. I tend to get lazy about my workouts and go out more because I'm loving my body but then I just gain some back. I'm not overweight, I'm 5'7", but I'm in to fitness and just want to look my best. I believe with the south beach diet I can do this and also train myself not to let go of all my good habits just because I met my weight goal. I want to love how I look all the time :)

7 lbs in 7 days on the South Beach diet!
I've never 'recommended' a diet before recently I've been not trying to diet but to 'eat healthy'. I was doing that for the most part but really no progress. Now I'm eating super healthy (as phase 1 requires) and the pounds are melting away! I'm afraid in another week I won't want to stop even though I'm supposed to go to phase 2. I know I could stay on phase 1 for an additional week but I'm not overweight and am already half way to my goal so I should probably move on. I guess we'll see when we get there. Smile

You can do it Gina! I recommend the South Beach Diet. I just finished 7 days and lost 7 lbs! I only have 20 to lose just like you so it could work for you as well.

3 days and 6lbs down!
Hi! I'm Kare. I've been doing the SBD since Monday. My cousin and aunt did it years ago and it really worked for them and to this day they have not gained it back. I bought the book back then but couldn't commit because I was new to college and didn't want to for go alcohol and going out to eat, even for two weeks.

I'm 5'7" and usually around 145. I'm not big but I've always wanted to be a little smaller. I've been just below 140 and it was perfect. I did gain a good 10+ lbs in the past 6 months and have had trouble getting them off. Monday I weighted in at 154.4 (highest ever has been 156) and today I weighed in at 148.4...6 pounds in 3 days... wow. I haven't even been working out yet! I have a personal training session tonight so we'll see what that does to the scale. I'm ahead of where I'd thought I'd be so far. I definitely don't want to be losing muscle so doing the south beach diet with weight training should get me pretty ripped!

I'm eating perfectly too. Today my entire office got Papa John's pizza (my favorite brand!!) with a chocolate dessert and I have to admit.. it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Did I want some? yes. Did I have to have it? not really. I want to do this right so I'm focused. It helps to know this isn't forever. 2 weeks then I get to add some things in. My calories are pretty low though, monday definitely too low, but I'm not that hungry.
