Feel like I was run over by a truck. Went bar hopping with friends for Halloween last night and had way too much of a good time!! I don't understand how I used to do this multiple times a week, every week. Food choices were way less than ideal, but not going to dwell on it. Stayed on plan yesterday up until dinner, and am back on track today. So it was just one very long cheat event last night, lol. This morning was very hard though. Just wanted lots of greasy hangover food on my way home, but got a egg mcmuffin and a water. Lower in protein than I like, but the best choice out of the options available. Today will be a lazy day. Still nursing a bit of a headache. Downing water like crazy. But at least I can meal plan for the week while recovering on the couch!

The best plans can go to hell.... Yesterday I had left work early to get ingredients for a white chicken chili enchilada casserole before my workout, and prepped everything. Then the boy came over for a bit since he had a break between class and work. It was about 8 pm by the time I got it in the oven, and it had to bake for 1.5 hours. Went to take it out of the oven at 9:30.... and realized I never turned the oven on :( :( :( Angrily ate some hard boiled eggs and cottage cheese w/ pineapple and went to bed. At least I have a delicious looking casserole waiting to be baked after work today!

Grumpy now though since I missed my bedtime last night due to my screw-up, and had to go to crossfit at 5:30 this morning, since I have plans after work today. Coffee will be my friend today. At least my knee feels wayyy better! No more pain, but will still continue with the recommended stretches/exercises to strengthen it up a bit.

Excited for tomorrow though. Going downtown with friends for halloween bar-hopping adventures. I got one of the red dress uniforms from Star Trek TOS and a battery-powered tribble, pair that with some thigh-high black boots and it will be fantastic!

Struggling today. Very sore. My poor collarbone has a giant lump and bruise from doing cleans yesterday. Also dealing with some knee pain on my left knee. Got a list of exercises and stretches to do to help from my trainer, just gotta remember to do them 2x a day.

Also have to take my boyfriend to the hospital after work, since he can’t be trusted to do it himself. Which is ridiculous, since he’s an EMT and should know better. He fell on some broken glass at work last week when a patient’s family member knocked him down, and his elbow is still crazy swollen. I’ll never understand why men just can’t go to the doctor.

Realized I was a bit low the past two days, so I need to remember to keep my calories up. Just haven’t been hungry with work stress and whatnot, but I know that when I under eat I’m just setting myself up for a binge. No bueno. Today shouldn’t be a problem though. Already made it to the box this morning because I have trivia night on Wednesdays, which means I need to budget in my two beers. Well, I don’t need to, but they keep me sane, lol!

It's weird how I can tell how well I'm losing fat by how wrinkly my face gets when I smile. I have a dimple in my right cheek, and it's progressively getting more wrinkles behind it. It's an interesting indicator. That and the veins on my arms. Who knew there were so many.

Also changing my target goal based on my trainers suggestion. I can reassess when I reach it, since I'm not sure how much muscle mass I'll lose in the process.

I also love how refreshing it is to work with someone who doesn't assume that all I want to do is lose weight. We've built in strength and endurance goals into the long-term plan. Kinda nice after my last gym. I just saw they had a whole week of 'tummy tightening' workouts. Which, nothing wrong with people that enjoy that, but maybe I'm weird when I find training for functionality to be much more satisfying.
