People on Facebook groups for IF (Intermittent Fasting)say not to be afraid of measuring my waist for fat loss. I carry most of my fat around my stomach. I measured and have lost 4" off my waist, even though I've not lost a pound in 2 weeks. If I understand it correctly, I am doing well and should see some weight in numbers happening soon. I'm hopeful. Fasting is strange! I stay not-hungry. At this point, this way of time-scheduled eating is much easier than counting calories or points or any other diet I have ever tried. I do hate the term lifestyle but I have no other word for it. It has taken over how I view food. I can see myself eating in this manner for the rest of my life.

Wednesday, July 10, I have shifted my diet plan yet again. I have tightened my belt even further because of my lack of ability to exercise. I pretty much sit or briefly walk from time to time. I have no breath in me and get winded with almost any effort taken to make myself move. I have decided that in addition to Intermittent Fasting I am going to do (OMAD) one-meal-a-day. I started this attempt with a 24 hour fast and it went well. I'm now in the midst of a fast that will lead up to my second day doing OMAD. I'm not sure if my body will let me do it but we will see.

I was stuck in the 260's for the longest. I finally think I am in the 250's and moving again. Since my wife has had stomach by-pass surgery, it has been much easier to diet. We have mostly protein in the house and I am reminded every day how I need to diet because I refuse to be the only fat one in the house. I have much motivation.
