Wow! I am surprised I lost weight this week, I followed the diet poorly, I had cake and ice cream and it is that time of the month for me, but I still lost 2lbs. I wonder how much I would have lost if I followed the diet fully? Anyway its a new day and a new week so I have started out breakfast healthy, lets see if I can continue?

Whoo hoo...I lost again and it seems so easy...I wish I would have started this diet earlier...My girls stayed steady this week but their activity level should increase because school starting. I still need to increase my activity level though I did do some yard work and went on a walk this week..slowly but surely...I am happy that I have been able to stick with this diet...I have tried other diets and just couldn't stick with them but this seems pretty easy. I do realize that I am going to have to look for and add some health recipes to my "repertoire" or else I am going to get bored and may fall back into some bad eating habits which I don't want...I think it helps having our signed pledge to stick to the diet on the refrigerator door. I did have some challenges this week. My girls and I went to sizzler on Saturday, but didn't eat the bread and had the salad bar...I was really proud of the food choices my daughters made..then yesterday I went out to lunch with my hubby and had a turkey wrap which was huge so I only ate half and ate the other half for dinner because it was 910 calories...(for a turkey wrap!). I think one of the BIG things this diet has taught me is an awareness of calories. In the past I would think a turkey wrap is healthy and I would have eaten the whole 910 cal plus maybe some fries (hey I am eating a healthy turkey wrap so I can have fries) and the whole meal would be around 1500 calories...way more than I eat in a whole day in just one meal...no wonder I have gotten sooo fat. Another good thing is that I am thinking more about not only what I cook but how..I cook for my family of 6 (and sometimes a few of their friends) 5 to 7 nights a week and I have really cut a lot of the fat out of our meals and switched to whole grain low cal bread and pastas and they have all eaten without complaints. I hope it continues to go well...I don't want to feel tired, drained and fat anymore. Good luck all.

The last few days I haven't followed the diet, I had pizza and flour tortillas, bowls of cereal (boo), but today I have stayed on the diet and am doing well, my girls are still on the diet too. We have cut down on our portion sizes. It really helps to actually measure out the serving sizes and you see the difference between what a serving is compared to the serving you used to eat....big difference.

I am so proud of my girls...each of them lost about 4 lbs and have been following the diet really well..They haven't been sneaking food like before..I have also found doing this diet really easy..easier than I thought it would be and because of this web sight calculating the calories and food percentages for me makes it a whole lot easier. We have a weekly meeting and weigh-in and that helps too.
