There"s a local UFC gym opening up next week if they get their permits. Walked by last week when they were receiving some equipment. Those machines looked like something from outer space. I decided to join and think I got a good rate. I hope they have a way to measure fat and muscle, I'd like to check my results that way. I did do some boxing training combined with cardio before and it was an incredible combo workout. Can't afford a trainer right now.

This is the first month in many that I haven't gone over budget. The reasons that contributed were: I'm determined to cut impulse buying; intermittent fasting cut my food bill and reduced alcohol/junk food.

Getting healthier and saving money. Feeling like a winner. Finally. It has been easier than I thought it would be once I made the decision to turn my life around. I like the IF lifestyle. I get hungry but I don't mind because I have more energy and less brain fog. Also, committing to change for the better has helped my depression which was situational not clinical, thank God.

I'm interested in the restorative benefits of fasting. I think that a 18/6 intermittent fasting lifestyle would fit my habits really well. In the morning I like to have club soda, it's so refreshing. I might have black coffee or tea. I don't get hungry for several hours and hate feeling like I have to eat soon after I get up. Waiting 4 hours before my first meal is a bit of a stretch but do-able. This plan will have me eating two meals a day. I'm also doing the eating before 6pm challenge. I'll probably eat my first meal around noon and the second around 4:30 - 5PM.

Intermittent fasting has been studied and results in a leaner body as you burn fat 12 hours after a meal. So if I understand the principals I'll be burning fat for 6 hours a day. This scheduling will fill me up and without the night snacking potato chips and beer or wine after I'm full from dinner I can cut quite a few calories. Also, eliminating a meal a day gives my schedule a break. Now maybe I'll really have time to exercise or at least one less excuse not to.

Hope this works.
