Trying to get ready for ANOTHER baby shower this weekend! The difference is, this time I’m hosting it. This is good because it means that I can control the quality of the food and make sure that some healthy items are available. This is bad because first of all it’s a little stressful having a party for 25 people. Second, since I’m cooking everything all the food will be things that I think are super delicious and it will be hard to resist going overboard. I can sometimes be a food snob, so it makes it easier to avoid food at other people’s parties.
At least I’ve been “good” this week so far with calories and exercising although the low calories is mostly unintentional and I’ve just been too busy to eat sometimes. This afternoon, going to the gym then cleaning the house to get ready.

Hmmmm, so, I weigh myself everyday, but only record once a week and all week the scale hasn't budged and then now all of a sudden, a big drop?!? Obviosuly, I'm pleased to see it since I really have been working VERY hard, but I'm a little skeptical.
Weigh-in:
132.8 lb
lost so far:
2.2 lb
still to go:
7.8 lb
Diet followed 100%

I did NOT feel like going to the gym today after work, but I did anyhow and (as usual) I'm glad I did. Didn't work out as hard as I could've but still did 50 minutes on the elliptical... not too shabby. I was watching the Tyra show and they were talking about cougars so it was pretty funny and helped the time go by quickly.

It seems like I've been eating and exercising pretty well for the last few weeks, but haven't seen any weight loss :( I've think I've checked a million different RDI calculators online to try and figure out how many calories I should be eating for my activity level, then took an average and I’ve been following it. However, when I look through some people’s diet calendars on this site (that are approximately my weight) I see a lot of them only eating ~900 calories a day. This certainly cannot be the answer?!? And even if it is the answer, I’m not willing to go there... My plan is to stick with my current intake a little longer and then I might actually try increasing my calories a little or maybe cycling (higher and lower calorie days) but keep my average the same.

I just tried almond butter for the first time and OMG was it delicious. Almond butter with Kashi waffles might be my new favorite breakfast. We'll see if it keeps me full all morning though...
