I am 27 years old and 5'6" and I'm trying to get back down to my college weight. I think I'm generally pretty healthy; I like cooking good meals and being active, but of course I have quite a few quilty pleasure that I like to indulge in. I've never dieted before so the concept of counting calories is pretty new to me, but it seems to be going well so far.

Running
I prefer running on a treadmill because I think it is easier on my knees than pavement and it really helps me to pace myself. Also, music makes a huge difference. I have an entire workout playlist full of fast-paced, high energy music.

Zumba anyone?
The class I go to is taught at Gold's Gym so everyone just wears workout clothes; sneakers, shorts or yoga pants, and tshirts or tank tops.

Woohoo! Do it! It is so much fun. I'm sure the "vibe" of the class probably depends a lot on your instructor, but I am always smiling and sweating the whole hour. It's a dance workout to fun, fast-paced "world" music, but there really aren't too many complicated moves or routines to learn and there is usually some booty-shaking involved... that's my favorite part. Hehehe.

A Questions For Eliptical Runners
It happens to me too. Sometimes I think adjusting the incline helps, probably because it causes me to dristribute my weight more evenly.
