That is more like it. I have been sticking to the diet and exercise this time for a little over 3 weeks. I have every intention of staying committed.
Y'all have a great week.

Good morning.
I forgot to mention that the doctor took me off my diabetes medicine yesterday. I am anxious to see the impact. My numbers look good and I am nervous to change anything. The medicine is a crutch both psychologically and physiologically. It means I have to be more vigilant with eating and exercising.
Run night tonight, but I may push it till tomorrow morning. Thinking of doing something of a date night with the wife. A lot depends on what my daughter has on tap.
Y'all have a great weekend.

Well I fell off my commitment to do a daily journal entry. Things are still going well. Eating better and less is becoming easier and more routine. I don't think I will ever call it a habit - to me a habit is something you don't have to think about. I have to constantly remind myself, log, and track. I hope the scale treats me better this weekend.
Running is going WAY better. It was like some trigger went off in my body the other night. All of a sudden, I was able to jog the entirety of my 2.5 mile course. It is still hard, which is depressing considering where I was a year ago. I am still having a hard time getting out the door - but once on the road, I enjoy it. I've started running without music or headphones. It is different. We live in rural area so I hear lots of "things". Last night it was owls and frogs - crazy. Sometimes when it is particularly dark and I am in the forested/brush areas, I let myself imagine that the sounds I hear might be a coyote; I run just a little faster.
