I am at 129, -1 lb goal of 130, ideal 128 and I may get there. The South Beach Diet is favorite. I am square dancing about 3 nights a week, usually 2-3 hours each time. Along with the few good habits, though, I've had colds and bronchitis on and off (state having epidemic) since October that diminishes my appetite. Not the best way to lose weight. So this is the story of how I finally lost 13-14 lbs. Just many things working together. Now to maintain it. Best to everyone at fs. Smooth sailing.

I had a goal of 130 lbs and so from 148 lbs in Jun 2014, to 133 lbs Dec 2016, I feel it's good progress. But weight of 125 would be ideal so I feel I should continue on. Working in my favor is not having a huge appetite at the moment. I often have just coffee with half n half, toast, or cereal for breakfast, then the main meal about 1:00pm, and snack in evening. This saves so many calories. The big meal holds me over comfortably all day. I have a dessert at some point but my favorite is a Skinny Cow Salted Carmel Pretzel Chocolate bar. Ice cream novelty. I am so glad I discovered eating a main meal midday, I am rarely hungry. I should cut out the sugar, though, except the Skinny Cow! Then all would be perfect. So, maybe this is helpful for someone...my diet is anything within reason.
PS: Thought I would add, I discovered square dancing, and a whole new activity and friends opened up to me. It's amazing exercise, good for strength, balance, and makes your brain work too. I was sitting at home, literally, after loss of husband for almost a year. I certainly recommend square dancing and you don't need a partner. But whatever, get out and have fun!
