I have reached my all time biggest, at 265. being 5'5" obviously is not kind to the weight, and i have finally started noticing the side effects of my weight. I am now bigger than i was with a 10#baby in my belly 8 years ago. I do not think i am aiming for unreasonable i do not aspire to be freakishly thin (to me anyway) just be able to move around better and for it not to be a pain to walk in heels 2 blocks to my office from the parkinglot, or play outside with my kid in the summer.

My biggest weakness will be eating-out. i love it. Thai-italian-mexican-chinese and soul food. love 'em all. So that will be my biggest challenge.

Wish me luck!

Need Ideas!
This will be my first Friday not going out to dinner with my SO and Friday night dates are pretty much what we look forward to. I need an idea of a delish dinner for me to prepare for him and myself that will be fairly simple yet scrumptious (if there's anything as such) i have been looking through the recipes but can't find something that shouts out at me, so if you could, PLEASE SHOUT!

Thanks for the help!

Well, i have finally decided to do this.
Thank you guys, again, i cannot express how much i appreciate all of your input. I have thus far been very honest (although not with my SO) with my Food Diary, even counting my must have this week (chocolate chip cookis (5) with coffee, next week i will try somethng like oatmeal instead-gross, see if i feel like im cheating(im a cheating girl) i will do so much better knowing that i did, and so i will stay better all day because i know i already had my bad time. -- those that make any sense? it did in my head. oh well Smile Not a big fan of the sweetners but i have found Truvia to be better than splenda. if i put non-dairy creamer in my coffee, i dont take sugar. Im having a hard time today as i have a business lunch at 12 and dont know how well i am going to do- as i dont even know where we are going and wont find out until 12!!!! aaaah! wish me luck.

Well, i have finally decided to do this.
Thank you guys all so much. It is really nice to feel encouraged and to have support. This is my day 5 on my changes, and I have although not meaning to, consumed an average of 1,400 calories per day, although last night i did have 1700 because i decided to have 2 glasses of white zin spritzer. I also had homemade tilapia tacos two nights ago, and they made me want them nightly, never did i think i could crave something without cheese or cream!!!! Smile the coffee thing i can't do, i must have creamer in my coffee in the mornings.

Again, thank you guys for your replies and Alexandra, i look forward to us being buddies. Smile

Well, i have finally decided to do this.
I have fought losing weight for 11 years now, telling myself that i could care less what i looked like as long as i felt attractive, sexy and pretty, which i still do, do not get me wrong. however, it has come to my attention that some of the health issues that i have developed over the past 3 months are because i am at my all time biggest!

I am 5'5" and currently weigh 265lbs. I have never said that out loud. i do not intend on being 120lbs because, well honestly, i just dont like that frame, and it is a bit unrealistic (: I am of hispanic and italian decent (and although everyone says that doesnt have anything to do with shapes and sizes, i like to retain my bubbly-ness); however, again, health concerns have started creeping up and my SO and I have decided it was time to stop.

I am not intending on following a specific diet, or life style, i am simply looking to eat less junk, move a little and watch food preparation (oils, sugars, etc.), I figure since up until now at 29, i have always been completely careless and un-attentive to those things it should make a difference. If this works (which i hope it will, as it should) I will then determine how to proceed with an exercise regiment.

My thing is, and the reason i decided to join this forum, is that I need encouragement, yeah, call it a pat on the back for eating "this" and not "that" but whatever, it helps me. My SO isn't much help in this department because he has always been able to drop weight at a moments notice and feels that me "eating this not that" kinda thing, is a waste, and that i should immediately go for a drastic hard core diet like he does. I do not want to get tired or bored or frustrated with what i eat, so that this can be more tolerable as it will be something completely alien to me.

Thanks for reading, I will quit boring you with my lengthy intro and hope to hear from you.
