Feeling frustrated today. Sometimes I wonder why I don't physically feel a lot better. Stairs just seem like they never get easier on my knees. I have lost just shy of 100 pounds, do 50+ squats at a time, working out on the elliptical several times a day (can only do 5 or so mins at a time) and going down stairs is still a pain. After loosing that much weight and adding exercise, I thought it would be easier. I will keep on working but my mindset is not great at the moment.

Boy, found a bunch of muscles that I havn't used for a while. Did a pretty decent workout on the elliptical the other day and it felt great. My legs were like rubber, but it felt wonderful. The next morning was a different story. I could hardly walk. My calves and outer thighs were well exercised and let me know. They didn't really hurt, but were very seized up and tight. It was brutal to go up and down stairs (actually it was really funny). But, I got back on and did a little more to loosen up and it helped for a while. Did another workout this AM, but not quite as hard or long. I will work up to the longer times, but need to be able to walk.

Got my elliptical last night and boy, that thing can really kick butt. I really like it, it gives a great workout, is nice and quiet and it can be used while watching tv. My wife and daughter used them at the gym and I really see why they like them. Just have to learn how to use all the fancy programming it has, but the basic use is going to keep me sweating for a while.

Back in the groove and downward movement has started again. Slowly adding weight lifting back into my daily routine. Gotta take it slow because of my back, but it's getting better each day. Started walking again and just bought an elliptical so am looking forward to that. Have a great weekend all.

My back if finally letting me start to do more. I did some squats and did a decent walk yesterday and am not hurting so will do the same today. This getting old stuff sure slows down the recovery time when you injure yourself. I also now have a lot more respect for people with serious back issues. The eating has been great, the drinking water is back on full bore, so the weight will start dropping again.
