EXERCISE: Well today I felt like death warmed over, yuck. I slept from about 2am to 5pm. :/ I got up for a few hours in between but still. I'm going for a 30 minute walk/jog in a few minutes. Will also be doing the brazilian butt lift today. probably the 30 minute one, when I get it done I'll put it in the exercise journal when I get it done.

FOOD: Well, I slept till 5pm so there wasn't much food intake. I'm trying really hard to stay on track with my points and am even saving my cheat points for the rodeo tomorrow!

MENTAL: I made the mistake of watching the biggest loser today. :( there are people on there who have lost 100+ pounds in 11 weeks...I wish that was me. It set me back some on the mental aspect of it. However, I just have to keep thinking about the progress I've made! I jogged(and partly walked) a 12 minute mile last night! Not even a month ago I couldn't do a mile in 20 minutes! I'm very happy with that progress. I have also seen a drop on the scale(small, but still :D!!) in the week I've been working on calorie intake. Still trying to wrap my mind around the idea that it will be ok to not drink soda...but it has been my crutch and main comfort food for all of my life.

Randoms: I used to be able to ask my dog if she wanted to go to the park and she'd grab her leash and sit at the door. Yesterday I said the word run when I was on the phone and she got so excited grabbed her leash and sat at the door. How cute is that?!?!? and more importantly what a HUGE motivator!! She makes trying to run fun, she gets so happy and starts acting like a puppy again when we go at a faster pace!

EXERCISE: I got my brazil butt lift dvd in today and tried the bum bum rapido cd...and OMG 11 minutes in and I was drenched in sweat(inside my air conditioned house @ 68 degrees!) Kept going and made it through(did have to take a small(2 minute) break at about that 11 minute mark, but I remembered someone on here saying keep going even if you are tired because that is when you start getting results!!! Also went on a 25 minute walk today(jogged part but was sore from the bum bum rapido)

FOOD: did relatively well today had a few things that weren't great for me(see snacks :/ ) didn't eat my whole lunch because I think my spinach went bad, it didn't taste right. Lean pork grilled on the george forman for dinner with a small(boiling size) baked potato(no butter!) trying up my water intake, but I don't think it is going to be a problem.

Mental:This is absolutely the HARDEST thing about a lifestyle change(this is NOT a diet!) I'm a week into this and hitting some mental barriers. I WANT weight loss NOW! but I know it isn't going to happen like that. I've had to put my scale in the attic so that I only climb up there once a week to weigh myself, not every time I walk into the bathroom. It can be heartbreaking to look at the scale in the morning and have it be below 290 then later in the day be back to where I started at....I know the scale LIES if you weigh that frequently, but still hard to stomach. I've also put the measuring tape up there! I need to wrap my mind around the fact that I'm just getting healthier and focus on the fact that I'm doing something to put me in a place where I WILL be happy and healthy and a good role model for my children(if I ever decide to have them) Maybe me getting healthy will influence my diabetic father to hop on the healthy wagon, it would be GREAT to know he is healthy and will be around for a long time! He is my hero, and part of what has made me the weight I am. He has a problem with food, it is a comfort for him, just as it is for me. Here's to being healthy and not worrying about being skinny, for I'm sure it'll come if I'm healthy and true to exercising.

Goals: Once I can get through the brazil butt lift video without needing a break and can jog for 15 minutes straight, I will start the Insanity DVD.
4/1/12 - Start Insanity
4/20/12 - be able to RUN for 20 minutes.

3/30/13 be able to participate in tough mudder.
