I just keep plugging away, doing my 10,000 steps on my fitbit helps. I still eat a lot of desserts but have some limits, otherwise I couldn't lose at all. The main thing is to not skip meals or fast or starve because you will slow your metabolism. I always eat breakfast. I am a vegetarian so don't eat meat. I also try to not eat cheese or other dairy which is very high in saturated fat. My weakness is icecream but I buy the little 4.5 oz so that limits me. I also eat almond milk icecream.

Yes, I have been trying to get 10,000 steps in every day, even in this cold, rainy weather. I go to my local box store and walk the aisles. I know that store! They give away cheese cubes which I can't resist even tho I am a vegan...I have ben having oatmeal instead of eggs, at least. I am trying to get into Mark Hyman's books.The Blood Sugar Solution. He says sugar is the bad guy and to completely cut it out. It causes heart attacks.

I joined the YMCA last week and have been going to Silver Sneakers Classic and Yoga and Zumba Gold! Also the elliptical machine and the weight machines. I am getting my money's worth! They also have the Senior Steppers who perform dance routines out. I tried it and they dance for 2 hours! Wow, it was quite a workout. Does anyone know what chugs are? They are hard on the knees, a dance step where you jump forward then back.

another year of a lot of walking and exercise and a lot of food.....I didn't gain but I didn't lose.....here's to a miracle year....what's the secret to weight loss?
