After 15 years of putting everything to the side regarding my health after I left sports for my medical studies and then changed my career choice because of a family tragedy, it took me 15 years to be where I am, but success comes at a price. For me it was my health. I weigh almost more than 2.5 times my original weight of 65 kilos and at 150 kilos I just stopped weighing in.
I started yesterday as my first official day to be on the right track. Fatsecrets recommends me a
3400kcal
diet which is strange as it would only maintain the weight I have approximately. An effective diet would have been in the
2500kcal
range. However I am following the
1500kcal
diet for the first month as I am not able to exercise properly with the amount of weight I have. So it's going to be 5-15 mins of walking per day for me for the next 30 days and gradually build it up to 30 mins by the end of the second month.
13th Dec -1530kcal.
14th Dec - 1523kcal.
I have noticed my diet is high on carbs, I would need to do some research on switching it to a high protein diet. I would love some suggestions from the community regarding this issue.
Being in India however, and hence the eating habits and food culture is quite different from people from other parts of the world. Although I am slowly searching for ingredients, foods, spices, utensils, herbs etc. to be able to cook lots of foods mentioned on the website by the members.
Check out this awesome recipe of
Radish Pods and Potatoes
, you can change the quantity of oil and other spices as I did, it's quite a spicy dish and I hope you will enjoy it.
