Yesterday, knowing I would have surgery today I ate a hotdog and some chicken nuggets, just because I know I won't be able to eat that kind of stuff for a while. Not to mention I'm on IV fluids.

Well, today is the day I drive to Phoenix for an MRI and then surgery tomorrow to remove my gall bladder. I know this will forever change my eating habits and what I can eat, how much, and when, especially when it comes to fat and sugar. This will be tough. I'm nervous about the surgery. I am always nervous about anything like that. I guess I'll see you on the other side!

Today I cracked out my scale at home, weighing in for myself for the first time in the 3+ years I've lived in my apartment. I was ecstatic to see that it was down to 307.6. Considering when I weighed in on Monday 12/5/16, I weighed in at 330 when I was admitted into the ER with acute pancreatitis. I had a gall stone that got away from my gall bladder, shouting "I'm Free! I'm Free!" as it got itself stuck in the common bile duct. My pancreas was NOT HAPPY about that at all. At 7:02 p.m. I checked in. By 4:00 a.m. I was in the hospital in Albuquerque. They flew me from Window Rock, AZ to Albuquerque to Presbyterian Medical Center - Rust. When the triage nurse weighed me, that's where I was.
I am thinking that I want to try to keep up this low fat low cholesterol diet as much as possible after my Gall Bladder is removed. I have to go to Phoenix, where I can be with mom for after care. They wanted me to have a bariatric surgeon do the surgery because of where the gall stone is lodged and if I have to have an ERCP done, the bariatric surgeon is the best one to do it, since I have had gastric bypass surgery. Considering I've had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery, then had 1/2 of my thyroid removed, I put the lost weight almost completely back on. I'm just happy that I'm down 22+ lbs. I am hoping to be under 300 before I go in for surgery. That is my goal!

I ate 53% of my calories for the day on 12/10/16. With very limited food in my apartment that I can eat. I've been working on making sure I find things that will keep the fat down to less than 5-6 grams total. I am supposed to stay at three, but when you think that you have something figured out, and you put it in here, the totals are not right. The 317.6 was actually on 12/7/16 at the hospital.
