A bit of the stress I'm under, but hope at the weight loss!
Today I cracked out my scale at home, weighing in for myself for the first time in the 3+ years I've lived in my apartment. I was ecstatic to see that it was down to 307.6. Considering when I weighed in on Monday 12/5/16, I weighed in at 330 when I was admitted into the ER with acute pancreatitis. I had a gall stone that got away from my gall bladder, shouting "I'm Free! I'm Free!" as it got itself stuck in the common bile duct. My pancreas was NOT HAPPY about that at all. At 7:02 p.m. I checked in. By 4:00 a.m. I was in the hospital in Albuquerque. They flew me from Window Rock, AZ to Albuquerque to Presbyterian Medical Center - Rust. When the triage nurse weighed me, that's where I was.

I am thinking that I want to try to keep up this low fat low cholesterol diet as much as possible after my Gall Bladder is removed. I have to go to Phoenix, where I can be with mom for after care. They wanted me to have a bariatric surgeon do the surgery because of where the gall stone is lodged and if I have to have an ERCP done, the bariatric surgeon is the best one to do it, since I have had gastric bypass surgery. Considering I've had Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery, then had 1/2 of my thyroid removed, I put the lost weight almost completely back on. I'm just happy that I'm down 22+ lbs. I am hoping to be under 300 before I go in for surgery. That is my goal!

I ate 53% of my calories for the day on 12/10/16. With very limited food in my apartment that I can eat. I've been working on making sure I find things that will keep the fat down to less than 5-6 grams total. I am supposed to stay at three, but when you think that you have something figured out, and you put it in here, the totals are not right. The 317.6 was actually on 12/7/16 at the hospital.

Injury and Diet
I've been on crutches now for 15 weeks. I sprained both MCL's. I had my first acute pancreatitis attack on Monday this week. I went to the ER for pain help and they flew me out of state to another hospital about 3 hours away from where I live. Found out a gall stone escaped my gall bladder and shouted, "I'm Free! I'm Free!" and really irritated my pancreas. I'm now on a low-fat/low-cholesterol diet until my gall bladder comes out. So I'm working within what I can find at the moment. Joined fatsecret.com so that I could find healthy recipes to eat. So far I am so far below my 2200 calorie intake for today, and the small meals I am eating are filling me up along with the water, that I hope it means I will lose some weight. I lost about 13 lbs while I was in the hospital. I'm hoping to see that continue. Last weigh in was something like 317.6 or .8. On Monday at the ER, it was 330. God willing, I will be able to start losing again. I'll be having the gall bladder removed sometime either this week or next. Christmas is going to suck with recovering from surgery. Ugh.
