Starting Weight 191 lbs Height 5'6" Size 10-12 Age 40yrs
Type 1 Diabetic dependent on an insulin pump.
Just moved to KY 2 months ago, and will not be working for the time being. I "retired" for a while to concentrate on getting healthy.
Weight really was a shock. I carry excess weight very well, and never get "jiggly", so the weight can sneak up on me without me really noticing.
Joined a gym-6 days a week-once a week with a trainer
Seeing a nutritionists and a diabetic specialist.
Goal: Become healthier and decrease insulin dosage. Eat a diet that is appropriate for diabetics, and stay accountable for my own health.
Goal weight- 145 to 155lbs

Oh Yeah...I turn 40 in May, so I want to start my 40's at my body's correct weight!

TIPS ON TONING STOMACH?
I stopped the crunches, and have gotten SUPER results just from doing PLANKS. Do regular and side. I started out only being able to hold them for 10 seconds. Now I can hold for 2 minutes. My husband was looking at me the other day, and couldn't believe the definition in my abdomen now. They work...

last 11 pounds....
Thanks for the positive feedback. It's gonna be tough with a couple weeks of travel coming up! I'm a creature of habit with my exercise, so that will be the biggest challenge.

last 11 pounds....
So, I've lost 25 pounds, and have 11 pounds to go until I am at the weight my doctor and nutritionist believe is ideal for my body type. I turn 40 on May 25 of this year. That's less than 2 months away. I am now only averaging about 1 3/4 pounds lost per week. Any pointers on how to lose the rest and make my goal by my birthday?

Can exercise become addictive?
Wow...I think that I may be addicted to exercise! When I am not working out, I'm thinking about doing it! I've never had an addiction to anything, but this is coming awfully close I think! I have recently "retired" from working after 17 years in retail management, and I think that exercise has become my new "job", with my "over-acheiver" attitude attached to it...Not sure what to do with this situation....

problem asking for help????
Does everyone have this problem? I realized in February that I had a problem asking for help. I think I didn't want to admit to my family how heavy I really was (like they couldn't see it...). Once I sat my husband down and gave him the numbers, we came up with a plan together. Made all the difference in the world! We now work out as a family every evening, sometimes only for 30 minutes, but it helps. I still work out on my own in the mornings, but having that support is incredible!
